Neat game, but you can't force people to make it.

The point is to try our best! If they don't make a new startropics game at least we know we tried!

No...No where does it say for the NES! It could be for GBA or they could make it 3D for the GCN or Revoultion when it comes out !

Not all the games on the Gamecube are in 3D.

...but not enough are 2-D. At least PS2 has SNK games and a mighty good a' plenty of sprite based RPGs.

As much as a new Startropics game would be totally awesome, a petition isn't going to do the trick. You just have to get lucky in the fact that Nintendo will suddenly decide to bring back such an old IP.

I prefer Guardian Legend remake for Revolution. But is it going to happen? Certainly not.

You sound pretty desperate to bring this game back... I can tell you right now its most likely not going to happen. Don't waste your time fussing about it.

Ahhh Im to lazy for that, good luck though.

Id much rather see something like a Gun Star Heroes remake...and I know some of you might be saying "Buut Sion there is a Gun Star Heroes remake" SHUT UP! Im talkin about a next gen version, still a side scroller but with awesome graphics. That would own so hard.

The problem with internet petitions is that they lack any weight, physical or otherwise. Slam a massive stack of papers on someone's desk, each one filled entirely with real signatures, and it will mean something. But an internet petition has a few flaws that simply kill it.

1. There's no way of knowing the signatures aren't fake. A lot of us, I'd say almost everyone on this board, has at one time or another faked information when registering for a site, so you know how easy it is.

2. Again, no physical petition. It's a lot easier to ignore some text on a computer screen than it is to ignore a book-sized stack of papers being dropped on your desk.

I'll let this live, though. There's no harm in it, and it's on-topic... unless Startropics was an RPG (I never played it), in which case it needs to be booted over to the correct forum quicklike.

For every Internet petition that works (and some have), there's hundreds of thousands that don't because they really hold no merit. I could easily spam up a 50,000 signature petition saying "BRING BACK GAME X!" but the company's not going to listen.

Startropics 3 for the GBA/DS would be wicked since I loved the first one (never really played 2) but the odds aren't exactly in our favor. It was a niche franchise, pretty much. If Nintendo wanted to continue with it, they certainly would have by now.

Advertising-senses tingling.

No posting to advertise things. If you want to advertise, put it in your sig, but don't post for it.

(still letting this thread live, though... for now.)

Nope, don't purposely advertise your board like that again. Very bad.

(Maybe the thread can turn into something StarTropics related... it wasn't a bad pair of games, really.)

You'll have just to wait. Many companies, Nintendo included just are interested in making popular games. Startropics is just a bit buried in the memories of people playing old nes. What i only say is to wish you luck
