| Should I use elements such as: Fire, Water, Ice, Earth, Light, Dark, etc etc? I would design the level, and maybe enemy colors based off the element. Like an ice level would be slippery, I would make the land icy looking, and so on and so forth, and maybe the koopas would have a frosted icy-blue shell for their color. I personally think it's brilliant, because it'll catch the player's attention into admiring how cool the whole theme is, but that's just me; that's why I'm asking everyone. | Really I haven't seen anything like it; that would be cool to see, but than again it's not Final Fantasy it's Mario, could be interesting y'know. But I know how to make awesome levels, and so I could put it to a better use. (edited by Skyon on 09-14-05 11:49 PM) |

| Elements sound neat to me... even if they have been used in the past, you can still make your game original in other ways. I say go for it.  |

| Yeah, see I'm kind of upset that others have used it because whatever hack they were; I've not heard of them, so does that mean they were'nt that great? Because if what I'm asking is true that their hacks must've sucked; then why should the idea be frowned upon, just because someone that wasn't very good did it already; when I know for a fact (not bragging) that I could make them awesome.
