made it in a little under an hour at school today. Nothing special, Theres a few things I'm not so thrilled about, plus it goes well over the 16 color limit for this spriting style (what style? Pokemon R/S Trainer  ) ...but hey, nothing I can't fix in a later revision  so for a first draft, I'm pretty happy with it. What do you all think? | Well, try to find a sprite in the game looking quite like that the only thing I really used was the face and the legs/feet, as a base to work with. The rest were just based in a similar style to other sprites in the game (which, if you look very carefully, are actualy just careful modifications of eachother. Lots of legs are re-used with different pants, or arms, loks of times entire faces as well.) Edit: Oh. | Now, this brings to mind one of the things that's confused me about pokemon. I've only played one of the first gameboy games (red or blue, don't remember which) and I've never watched the show, but like in the game there are thugs or whatever and all they do to show their supremacy is to battle your pokemon with their pokemon. Some of em are built like a motherfucker but they still just go for the pokebattle or whatever. Anyway, so Link has a SWORD. Fuck the pokemon. If you got beef, you get your ass chopped in half. Anyone giving Link shit thinking they'll get away with it cause they've got great pokemon better reconsider. |
