At night it is hard to sleep. It takes me maybe an hour just to go to sleep, thats insane. When it was at my school years, I used to sleep good every school day. Maybe I have alot on my mind maybe. Does not make sence. Maybe I should take sleeping pills possibly.

It takes me about an hour (sometimes over) to get to sleep most nights, and I've been this way for a while.

It's normal, don't take sleeping pills for nothing.

It takes me about that long to fall asleep as well. It's not a big deal, certainly not severe enough for pills.

It can take me one to three hours to fall asleep so it's just normal.

Everyone takes a while to drift off to sleepy land so it's the same for you too..unless you think you're..different. Takes me about an hour as well. Maybe you can go to sleep ealrier so you'll fall asleep by the time you want to.

Takes me an hour to fall asleep . . when it takes me more, I typically get annoyed, knowing I have school in the morning, and Ill wake up tired. An hour is good . . most people don't fall asleep instantly, but if you start getting over 4 or 5 hours to get to sleep every night, you might want to do something about it. But if it's only an hour, you're ok. Don't worry

Thanks. I did not know that other people had trouble sleeping. I guess I am not the only one in the world has trouble sleeping.

I've had a hard time falling asleep as long as I can remember. But lately I find it's just from thinking too much about things I can think about the next day anyways. Stuff like planning for the future, or your goals, or what you have to do the next day, are just a waste of good sleep time. If I really want to sleep I just let go, and say the hell with everything and just try to relax.

My problem of lack of sleep is this.

I get tired out during the day and then I want to sleep so I go lay down and can't fall asleep for like three hours...I have never taken sleeping pills and it seems the only time I get a good sleep is at school. Which I don't suggest you doing. The teachers get mad!

God I am so tired.

The longest it took me to go to sleep was 4 hours. That was at the beginning of the school year about 2 years ago. I couldn't sleep because I was used to sleeping early. Other times, it takes me to 1 hour to fall asleep but if it does take longer, I find something to do before going back to bed. I never use sleeping pills as a last resort.

I usually need to take painkillers to sleep. Sleeping pills don't work very well.

It's not really trouble sleeping, its just how long our bodies take to relax and just sleep. SOmetimes I think too much about what happened in the day and worry about the next but if you just not think about it then you can. I keep my radio on but a few times it has kept me up but it can help too

normally my problem when i can't sleep is because either one of 2 things
a) i didn't do enough the day
or
b) i have too much crap going through my head

the easiest way to prevent a is to just.. do more physical activity, i suppose. masturbation is actually supposed to help you sleep better.
as for b.. well... if you learn how to avoid that then i want to know how, but if you've got a down, you wouldn't be worried about b, heh.
edit: i've also heard that warm milk is supposed to help you sleep as well. don't get it too hot, that sucks!
(i burned my tongue before... that sucked)

Yeah, I haven't tried the warm milk thing before. I thought it was just for putting babies to sleep when they can't sleep... On lazy days it's hard to sleep sometimes because lack of activity done and I'm just laying there thinking about what the future holds..like the next day. Hot chocolate would be better

drinking warm water(but who drinks warm water? come on! warm drinks are generally blech, though)
wiggling your toes(i have no idea here. but i don't know how the body works.)
counting SLEEPING sheep(sounds retarded but it's supposed to be better than counting sheep. i have no idea, i've just heard it.)

Back when I was younger and had like an early bedtime, I could not get to sleep. I'm not sure if it was because I wasn't tired yet, or if I just had sleeping issues.

I'm older now and like go to bed at 11 PM or so, and thats usually when I'm pretty tired.
Try adjusting your time schedule and see if that helps.
If you are eating or drinking late, you should consider stopping.
Drinks with caffiene could really mess with you.

I don't know what it is, but I don't like going to bed. I put it off as long as possible, sometimes just falling asleep on a couch or something.

That's what I think my problem is too. I lay in bed for a really long time mulling things over, thinking about something in the future, thinking about something I meant to do but didn't.. along those lines. And it really keeps me awake until I decide I've wasted enough time and am able to roll over and sleep.
I can think of a few nights where I did this until 3 or 4 in the morning and then have to wake up at 5. =\

WHen I was younger I used to count sheep but not sleeping ones. Them hopping over a fence . Warm water would be nasty to do before bed..when I was younger my bed time used to be at like 9 PM, then 10 then so on up until now. I should try the sleeping sheep
