Schwa lands the Disc on a lower balcony, the one that looks designed for take-offs and landings (a Runway), and waits for Corona to do the same. "In here you may be dazzled. If you feel the need to shield your eyes, don't hesitate. I did so on my first visit.  "And Schwa psychically opens a small crystal door nearby, stepping inside the Psipalace and waiting for Corona to follow him. The inside of the Palace is like heaven. It gleams with all bright shades of blue and teal, constructed in a manner that would bring an architect to his knees in amazement; there are arches lining the hallway and many, many doors on both sides of the huge, curved-right hallway... There are even capsule-shaped elevators in the walls at intervals, allowing passage to the higher floors. And the hall ends in a large gate, on which is painted a never-before seen rune, cycling in a red, yellow and blue glow. Psi Warriors walk through this hall, some even without blindfolds, some talking and some telepathically talking, all friendly... Schwa blends right in. Corona, not being dressed in white, stands out quite a bit... but the few that do look at him are friendly in manner; some even salute him. |

| Corona pilots his disc to a stop, and steps off. Smiling at Schwa's comment, he walks slowly through the door. He lets out a gasp, and gazes all around the interior. When his face points in Schwa's direction, it's easy to see why he didn't need to cover his eyes; Being a shapeshifter, it is a simple task to dilate the pupil until it receives almost no light. Thus, Corona can see perfectly fine in almost any lighting conditions. He points at the gate, with its unusual symbol... He's remembering things, not really memories, but skills that form the basis of Corona's ability to fight, that the dark one couldn't remove without rendering him useless. The sigil language of the ancient ones... He begins to voice his thoughts. "There... That little hook, and the circle below it, signifies Safety, or perhaps it's a modified rune for Strength. Those two lines with the matching stars represent Honor, or the Law. Two squares with the lines between them is Acceptance, and with the stars from Honor nearby it also signifies Virtue... But they're all connected by a faint rosetta, and that means Respect... So this sign, it stands for the Living Assets, correct? Unless, of course, this was based upon the dead rune signs of the Disciples of Fate, which was a phonetic alphabet that was layered on top of itself. So, then, the sign would read... Rakuma? Brilliant. Pure genius. It can't be coincidence that these two can be written as the same word. Truly amazing." |

"You're pretty observant," Schwa tells him. "Also, the multicolored glow is due to the Living Assets flowing through this palace. The runes are especially crafted to glow from their power. Virtue is red, Respect yellow, and Honor blue. But if you think that's amazing, wait 'till you see what's behind it.  "Schwa steps up to the Rune and concentrates for a moment, silently praying to the Living Assets. Suddenly the Rune lights up hot-white, and the gate opens smoothly. Inside is an interior even more excotic than the hallway... It's a huge scantum! The huge room is shaped like a cylinder with 4 balconies along the circumfrence, each at a different elevation, all accessable thanks to smooth, glittering ramps, that the Psi Warriors seem to have no problem walking on. The floor of this room resembles a very soft inverted dome, and in the center are huge circles that form circular stairs, stacked upon one-another... and in the center of the circle-stairs is a huge pedestal with a holographic image of the rune of Delta hovering directly above it. Streams of white light flow through the blue crystal walls in a circular pattern, like spirits. The top balcony is much bigger than the others and VERY high up, and seems to have another one of those runed gates in the wall up there (but from down here it's almost impossible to tell). There's a whole lot of social activity in this place, yet it's soothing to be here at the same time. Some cute girl Psi Warriors wave and salute to Schwa, and he nods and salutes back. "Ah, yes... It always feels good to be home," Schwa sighs, relaxed. "This is the Delta Scantum, one of the four Psi Scantums here at the Palace. From here you can practically go anywhere in the Palace, for there are many more of those runed gates on each balcony you see. And at the top... Well, you'll see. That's where we're off to." |

| Corona walks inside the sanctum slowly. He takes in the marvelous sights with a few glances around the room. The patterns on the walls catch his attention first, and he states at them for a few seconds before looking to to the symbol. It's far simpler than the rune at the gate, and it's obvious that it's mostly just a label for the room, so he doesn't bother checking with any ancient languages. "This is a really nice place... Well, after you." |

| "We're in no hurry, are we?" Schwa replies. "Well, I suppose you'd be wanting to get to that forest you spoke of eventually... My apologies." He goes to a ramp nearby, steps on it, and is able to 'skate' up the ramp smoothly to the next balcony. "Give that a try," Schwa says, going to each ramp and skating his way up as if it were ice. "You can't fall on these! It's pretty ingenious." He makes his way to the top balcony and waits for Corona. |

| "Interesting... Almost everything here is powered by magic? I never would have thought such a place existed..." Corona walks up to the ramp and steps on, experimentally. When he doesn't fall off, he propels himself upwards. With a slight laugh, he follows Schwa up to the top of what he thinks is one of the spires he saw from outside... "Those ramps are actually pretty entertaining. I would like to go to the forest, but I accept the wisdom of waiting until I have fully recovered my strength. So, once again, lead on." |

| "Not exactly magic," Schwa says as Corona meets him at the top. "There's a great difference between Arcane and Psi. Arcane, or magic, comes from either the mind or an outside source. Psi is a form of Spiritual energy, and Spiritual comes from, of course, the soul. Psi is a variation on that, which is 'The union of Mind, Soul, and the Living Assets'. The Living Assets power everything in this palace." He approaches a runed gate in the back of the top balcony. "This gate, like the one downstairs, is where the Assets gather strongly, and by touching that rune I have direct communication with the Assets. If YOU were to touch it, I wouldn't be surprised if you fainted, at least the first time. I almost did, and the only way I stayed awake was through a Warrior Tech I knew before taking the Pact." Schwa touches the Rune, prays quickly, and like before the Rune flashes and the gate opens. Ahead of them is a long, slightly darker hallway, and the blue crystal walls and ceiling are slightly transparent... so by staring through them, you stare into a cloudy sky. At night, this is sure to look absolutely wonderous, with the stars and moon and all... There is one more runed gate at the end of this hallway, and the rune on this one is BIG and glowing more than just the three primary colors. |

| "Spectacular. It's easy to see why the light of this world has shined for so long." Corona follows Schwa into the passageway. With the sudden touch of sunlight, something odd can be seen... All of his visible skin is glowing with an amazingly complex structure of sigils. They're constantly shifting, but the overall pattern seems to match almost exactly with the movement of the colors on the rune-gates. The combination of Psi Energy and sunlight, along with Corona not being possessed, is interacting with his Concordant Oath to actually change what he is. The structure begins to spread over his robes in the form of violet lines, and his eyes shine with inscribed symbols of prosperity. He walks calmly along the hall, and as he approaches the larger gate the patterns ripple through the nearby air. Silvery arcs of light run through the corridor, bouncing off of the crystalline surfaces. And then it's over, as quickly as it began. Corona turns to face Schwa, and it's evident that he isn't aware of what just happened. "All right then. Let's see what the big dramatic suspense is for." |

| "Beautiful, yet strange," Schwa thinks. He never looked back to 'see' Corona's shapeshift, but as he sensed a change in energy flow behind him, he allowed his psychic senses to view what was behind him. "The aura this place emits could have a very dramatic effect on a shapeshifter... I wonder on, though, what this could possibly symbolize...?" Schwa approaches the gate, kneels, and chants, "Sensae, allow thy entrance." Just once, though... And, like before, the rune flashes and the gate opens. Schwa walks forward into the new room, the highest room in the Palace, and waits for Corona. This room is much smaller compared to the other rooms of this Palace... It's trapezoid-shaped, and the far (shorter) wall is lined with tall, cylinder crystals that all glow 7 colors and glitter. Standing in front of them is a very, very old Psi Warrior... He looks like an ordinary 100-year-old man with Psi Warrior clothes except the blindfold... Schwa immediately runs up and kneels. "Hello, Sensae." "Hello, child. What have you learned today?" "Oh, golly... I can't even begin to describe. I learned more about myself, for fighting with my DarkSoul, I learned about my new... Oh, geez..." Schwa suddenly becomes a little upset. "You know about that, of course... My mushroom infection was permenant in some way or another. It got hardcoded into my DNA... It upsets me a little." "Yet you were able to destroy your DarkSoul with the moves, and deliver a friend from corruption. Interesting." "Oh yeah! Uh..." Schwa motions to Corona. "This is Corona, a shapeshifter with A Past Enshrouded. I've taken on the mission of helping him out." Sensae nods. "Hello, good Corona. I am Psi Warrior Sensae, Host of the Assets." |

| "Indeed... It is good to have met you. You say you are a Psi Warrior, but I'm sure you've gone farther... Yes! You aren't nearly as limited by your physical form as the others... I can sense an enormous link from you to a spiritual dimension. Host of the Assets. How miraculous." Corona remains where he is and takes a stiff bow. His eyes are avoiding Schwa as much as possible... The kneeling position is frightful to him, and he's found bows are generally better received. However, he wears an expression of deep thought, and seems to be trying to remember something... The word DarkSoul echoes through his mind. |

| Sensae laughs lightheartedly. "Well, it feels good to recieve such a compliment every once in a while. And fear not, a bow is only necessary if you feel so. You have just met me, after all. And as for my physical form... I have mastered the power of the Assets, and the Assets have mastered me as well, so my physical form hinders me not one bit. However, I do not use my powers for any reason besides guiding my children. "Now, Corona... You do have a very important mission ahead of you. I can't tell you what it is, because you already know... besides, I do not give out the answers so easily. I can't say to you anything about this mission, but I offer Schwa to help you, and Schwa has also offered himself... I also offer you a blessing, which is already in effect. It's simple: Anytime at all you are in grave peril, call on me and believe in my power... and the Assets will aid you. But only one time will you be able to utilize that power, as you have not taken the Pact... It is important for you to use discernment about this. "Remember that you always have allies here... Me, and all the Psi Warriors of all planes of existance. An alliance is a very powerful weapon, but unlike the sword and spear, this weapon can be broken in a different way. Always remember this... Trust is a vital skill on the road of Good." Schwa stands, silent, the whole time. He's always liked Sensae best for these dramatic speeches. It's interesting how Sensae, who is literally stronger than all Holy Gods combined, never gives away the answers or kicks any arse himself... |

| "Thank you. I appreciate your aid, as I will need as much assistance as I can get. But for now, I do need to rest... I feel as though my body has gone through several battles, and given the circumstance surrounding my awakening I do not doubt this. And... Though I'm not one to admit it often, I'm also very tired. So, while it was fascinating to meet you, I trust I will soon be led to a place where I could sleep without presenting an obstacle to bypassers." Corona smiles slightly. His eyes slowly change color as he speaks, and once again the symbol of the Concordant Oath appears inside them. At this point it's just a sign of fatigue, mixed with the leftovers of the earlier event. |

| "Why, of course you must be tired..." Sensae adds. "Schwa, you go ahead and do the honors." "Oh, you got it," Schwa says with a thumbs-up to Sensae. "Corona, we got some awesome chambers. You can have mine for now, because since it's noon or so, I'm not exactly tired. Besides, I got stuff to do, so when you're all rested up I'll be back by then, and we can leave anytime." Schwa motions for him to go back through the runed gate, and leads him back to the Delta Scantum... After taking a runed gate on the 3rd balcony, he's in a smaller, curved-down hallway with many doors on both sides. (The whole time, he assumes Corona is following him.) He stops at a door near the end, and opens it psychically... Inside is a crystal room with several things that make it look sort of like a bedroom, including a bed... There's an exotic plant in a pot on a table, a lamp, the whole works... The walls are just made of crystal, that's all. There is also some kind of small elevator thing in the back corner. "Like it?" |

| "Yeah... It's a nice place. Thank you, Schwa." With this, he walks over and sits on the edge of the bed. He smiles wearily at Schwa, then removes his soft black shoes, and he's asleep an instant before his head lands on the pillow... In his dream, Corona is walking through a stone building. There are people walking past him, but they look dark and insubstantial, and though they avoid contact with him it appears to be just by chance. He comes to a room with a high, domed, gothic ceiling, and the transparent people walk up and down the walls. A door in the ceiling stands open, and many of the walkers go through. Gradually the room becomes more and more empty, as the figures leave but don't come back. A statue appears in front of him, and in a way it was always there. It's a sculpture of a man striding forward, holding hands with a woman who seems so alike to him she must be his sister. A voice can be heard from behind, laughing maniacally. He turns around in time to see a huge black projectile soaring towards the statue... Corona jumps high into the air, in the path of the missile. It strikes him, and he is sent flying across the room. His back makes a loud cracking noise as he slams into the opposite wall, and the sculpture in front of him shatters. He wakes up, sweating. His senses tell him it's still daytime, and his body yells at him to stop tossing and turning and let it rest. With a sigh, Corona rolls over and goes to sleep once more... |

| OOC: Filler post. Schwa takes off out of the Psipalace as Corona makes himself comfortable, eager to do... a few little... somethings... He definitely has something in mind, at least. "I gotta find out about this mushroom problem!" he says to himself. "And if anyone can help me, it's that Oracle. It'll be weird seeing her again, but she's the one who infused me with my other DNA encoding, so she'd know." He takes off at hyper-speed towards some familiar mountains, that he visited 5 years ago... Scanning the extreior of the mountain, he discovers the same shrine he sought an Oracle's secrets the same 5 years ago. He goes in for a landing... and can't believe his eyes. "Who the hell did THIS?" he stammers, faced with a pile of rubble that once was a serene Oracle shrine. He searches the rubble, and finds no sign of that Oracle girl. Lost and confused, Schwa sits down, engrieved. After 5 minutes, he gets up again and prays silently. "Kyr'Shei... Who did this? Do you know?" Nothing. Schwa has never felt more alone. Anger overtakes him... "Alpha PSIBEAM!!!" His energy arc blasts open a tree nearby, incinerating it. Schwa feels better for a small moment, but then he hears a familiar voice behind him... "Schwa, don't! I feel the pain that the forest recieves through your anger." Schwa slowly turns around and stares down. "Pingo..." "Hi Schwa... Bad time?" "This Oracle shrine was destroyed. The girl who lived inside had a heart of gold... I wanted her to help me with something, and now she's gone forever..." "Well, I'll help you! What with?" Pingo says cheerfully. Schwa is afraid to hurt Pingo's feelings. "...Something." "Don't be afraid to tell me." Suddenly, Schwa explodes. "Your damn DNA! You made me into a freak! That's what I'm mad about! Get away!" "Schwa... I really do feel bad. You don't have to bite my head off. I was, as you know, possessed at that time... And it can be considered a blessing that this whole thing happened. You learned some new moves, a Soul Unison, and made a new ally... and I don't have to live in fear anymore." "Fear?" Schwa's calmed down by now. "Up until I met you, Schwa, I was always on the run. I've had a lot of predators... but, just as my DNA was encoded to yours, yours was to mine. I think it happened through emotions, though, not physics. When you and I achieved our Soul Unison, I believe that's when it happened. I am now filled with courage and can protect myself, and others." Schwa is still silent, and he's sitting down. "Just 10 minutes ago there was an Imp in the rainforest. It had already eaten a few of us Ma Pingon, and I felt filled with the desire to protect my people... I battled it, and actually won. I felt the Psi Warrior's courage flow through me. I wouldn't have if it weren't for you. "And then what happens? Hostility! They are now hostile at me for fighting the Imp... even though they would've been eaten. Fighting is not something we favor. So now I'm an outcast... and if anything, if you consider yourself a freak, consider me the same. "Friends don't have to be the same species, Schwa. That's all we are... Friends, made through a dire circumstance. You know how that is." Schwa's slightly crying by now. "Yeah... but I have so many mixed emotions right now. It's hard to sort them out... I let them get the better of me. I'm sorry." "It's cool!" Pingo nods in approval. "So... Now I gotta help Corona with some important mission. I'll call you to help if I need it... Pingon Word, I remember. Stay strong." Pingo jumps up and down excitedly as Schwa takes off again, still watery-eyed through his blindfold, and heads back to the Psipalace. Along the way, he KO's a young adult Black Dragon in midair, and it makes him feel much, much better. |

| Corona awakens. The rest of his sleep was dreamless, and restful. He feels alert and ready to go off on a wild adventure... but Schwa is nowhere nearby. Walking up to the door of the room, he considers whether or not he should try to open it the way Schwa did. If he doesn't, he'll have to wait, and Schwa has no way of knowing that he's awake... Corona decides to chance it. On the other hand, he doesn't know who to pray for, and if he does it might be interpreted as trying to use his one chance Sensae gave him. Experimentally, he reaches out a hand and touches the rune... What happens next occurs at impossible speed. The Concordant Oath rises within him, and the rune structures spread across his body like wildfire. Everything glows white, and the patterns begin to spread onto the crystalline door. In a flash, the gate and parts of the surrounding walls explode, showering bits of pure white light across the Delta Sanctum... Or at least, that's what Corona sees. Everyone else in the room he just... entered... seems not to have noticed. That's impossible, the light scattered everywhere and yet... What's going on? Corona awakens. He's very confused for a moment, then laughs at himself. He decides to wait until Schwa arrives, instead of forcing his way out. He pulls out a strange silver medallion, and begins to flip it up in the air and catch it again. The odd thing is that the pattern is never the same any two times it comes down, and in the process of flipping this two-sided coin ten times he achieves ten different results. One of the designs is that of a dragon's head, another a snowflake, a vine, a skull, crossed swords, the ocean, an eclipse, a castle, a crown, and finally a giant tree... And that's about when Schwa gets back to the Palace. |

| The elevator in the back of Schwa's room suddenly makes a vaccum noise... and Schwa steps out of the doors. "Hey, you were in here the whole time, awake? You could've taken the elevator... It would've gone straight back to the first hallway. You ready or what?" He heads back toward the elevator, but doesn't enter yet. He waits. |

| "Ah, really? I expected a closet." Corona gives a small chuckle. It's obvious he's more light-hearted, and he's feeling refreshed. He pockets the trinket, then walks over to the elevator. His stride is faster and longer, and there's a sort of invisible aura surrounding him, offering the happy mood to those nearby. In his new, informal speech, he explains to Schwa as they presumably ride the elevator downwards where they'll need to go... "So, the Forest of Sorrows is very large, as forests go. There's a really big tree in the middle that provides the rest of them with the energy they need; The entire place is growing on what used to be desert, so the life energy is precious. A man lives there, and protects it. He prays every day to the nature spirits that protect the forest. His sister, as I recall, died a few years ago in a battle to defend it. Her body lies beneath the central tree, and somehow even in death she guards the sacred growths. And that's where I was when the dark one captured me. I think I was there to ask the man for help in my training to use my skills for the greater good, because those skills had previously been spent in less helpful areas. He tried to save me... And I think somehow his sister was there, too. They both were defeated in instants, but this is a sign not of their weakness but of the dark one's power. I had heard that the man had destroyed a flock of wyverns in defense of his trees at one time, and several armies have failed to conquer the Forest of Sorrows. If anywhere, I ought to begin my search there..." |

| "Interesting," Schwa states as they shoot through the Palace via elevator. In only a small while they're at the main hall that they entered through again. The elevator seems to have brought them there... which may arouse the question of why they had to go through the Delta Scantum in the first place. Schwa heads back to the balcony outside, where their two Psi Discs wait for them. "Okay, this time you lead the way..." Schwa tells Corona. "You know where the Forest of Sorrows is, after all. And coming from the air, we can approach it from any angle desired. That should always help." Schwa's hands flare up with blue ether without him noticing it. The thought of duking it out with some all-powerful badguy sends shivers of excitement down his spine! Of course, the thought DOES scare him only a TINY bit... OOC: Sorry for the long reply. | "Right... Do you mind if I stretch my wings? I'd much rather fly the natural way, enjoy the fresh air..." Without waiting for a reply, Corona begins dashing at full tilt along the 'runway.' His body slowly fades out as he runs, and red sparks follow behind him. He's barely visible as he leaps off the Palace, doing several frontflips before extending both arms and dropping out of sight. Less than an instant later, a small, red dragon with a streamlined body rises up into the sky. Corona is still mostly transparent, but the force from his falling can carry him Very far up into the air... He covers several miles straight up in the space of seconds, then drops his wings to his sides. As he plummets towards the ground, air friction occurs: Corona the Dragon catches fire, and reextending both wings he does several midair twirls to lose momentum. Descending safely to the same altitude as the hangar from which he started his aerial maneuvers, he flaps his leathery, sinew-bound, flame-encrusted wings rythmically, and speaks from his draconic mouth. Surprisingly, the voice is still exactly the same. "Well... Yes, I know where the Forest of Sorrows is. However, I don't know where WE are... Know of any major human cities nearby? I should be able to get where we're going from one of them, at least." |
