they are both equally good but ZSNES has the upper hand i believe. Snes9x was good for while but now I think ZSNES now owns Snes9x in the SNES emulation world...however, there are only a few games the Snes9x can run but ZSNES can't... so yeah...my choice is they are both fine |

ZSNES for everything, Snes9X for everything else ZSNES is just "Better" in more ways than one |

I think Snes9X is better because it's the actual size, and you can load and save Save States much faster. It also has easier-to-work controller settings.

Yeah, if any emulator uses a Windows file menu for save states these days, well... It's super-easy in ZSNES to switch between save states or to do pretty much anything. The best SNES emulator, period. |

I'm using ZSNES Win only ... currently I don't have any other SNES emulator on my computer Very high compatibility with lots of games, always the proper speed using Auto Framerate; plus great accessibility using the keys; like the mentioned save states, slowdown modes and others. There might be a little number of games which troubles emulators a little, like the combination of New GFX Engine or Windowed Mode setting, but I think it's the game itself what troubles the emulators - like Tactics Ogre for example |

ZSNES for 90% of games, Snes9x for the other 10% or so that ZSNES can't run correctly.

Well, in the beginning, I only used Snes9X because that was the first SNES emulator i ever tried and i found out that i liked it. Later on, Kitten Yiffer made me try Zsnes and now i |

If you can run ZSNES then use it, I like it more than SNES9X. But for SNES ROM hacking I usually stick to SNES9X because I don't have to go full screen in order to play, I know, you don't have to in ZSNES either, but I have to. For some reason, when I go from Windows 98 to XP ZSNES only runs in ONE fullscreen mode, the rest all give a black screen. |

Zsnes, it works better with the games I use. But I do have Snes9X, so long I know two games that works better in Snes9X than Zsnes. Simant and Simearth. And they aren't great games... |

ZSnes works perfect for me, runs faster and looks better. No contest. And regarding save states, F2/F4 (or just Shift, L/Shift, R on my joypad) is pretty instantaneous. |

When I do emulate, I use Zsnes for all my emulation needs. It has served my family for generations, and it looks foreward to serving you too. Zsnes. The Freshmaker. |

The only thing I don't like about Zsnes is the fact that you need DirectX. My install file of DX8.1 is for friggin 95/98/ME, I use 2K! *Downloads installation file for DX9.0b for 2K* Fixed. Zsnes is faster, ran full speed on my 200MHz, and save states (when needed) were instantaneous. My only gripe is the fact that I don't have a controller for it. Otherwise I'm all set. |

I actually prefer snes9xpp. It is basically snes9x, but with a few more features and a better (in my opinion) interface. It also has the lq2x filter. |
