Figured I should post the final result of the layout that Karadur made for me. Just to see how people like it and if it needs some changes.

The text is hard to read on that background. Maybe you should try another color or font.. I don't know.
I know you're going for a transparent look, but it's not working out right now.

I've just tried darkening the background up, and you can see what it looks like with that change made here. The lighter parts on the actual background image (the one of the 3 people) still look like they're getting in the way a bit, so if need be, I can try darkening them at home tonight.

Also, before anyone mentions it, yes, the base of this layout is from the one I was using previously. The only real difference in it now is the backgrounds and border color

Yeah, that red background kind of messes with the text a bit.
Try a solid color, but make it semi-transparent.

It didn't used to be! Several layouts on the board are having this gay problem where it cuts off and extends... Including me. I heard it was a weird board bug that happened recently.

The way I see it, <DIV> = FAIL. And try making the background black and white or something. It sucks anyways.

It's kind of hard on the eyes and the screen goes really slow when I scroll with it in view. The saying's good, though.

That red color isn´t nice to my eyes. It´s too...sharp? Otherwise, it´s great.

It´d be good if you could use Karadur's modification.

Yeah, everything everyone else has said. It's a bit too vibrant. Just tone it down, though, and it will be gooooood. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The red is definitely too bright. And it freezes my comp too, for a few seconds while I scroll past your layout. I dunno why, but I'm not the only one..

Ok did the change of the red text box now. Hopefully it's much more understandable... I actually liked the bright red but since others complained it not being readable. Thanks again Karadur.

Just so anyone that's curious as to what's changed (as in my opinon, the red background looks almost the same), I added one pixel to the background, which now makes it look almost like an LCD screen, what with having that background behind it. I like that effect, but it wasn't intentional either The red can be darkened up a bit more yet, if necessary, but eventually it's going to come to the point where it looks brown

Now, I also realize that Snika suggested making a solid color be partially transparent, but the only program I've got on my computer at home that can do that is Microsoft Photo Editor, and it doesn't seem to work, for whatever reason The first time I tried that, the slider to set the level of transparency was greyed out, so I enlarged the image a bit, which enabled the transparency slider, but also made weird patterns in the background while previewing it in Firefox and Internet Explorer (those are the only browsers on my computer)

One other change that can be made if need be is to darken up the lighter bits of the actual background. I've already done that, and saved a copy of the image, so for right now, you can see what it looks like in Dark Vampriel's most recent post
