With the sprite ASM pointers listed in Mario World Reconfigurator, is there a way to find the location of the code in the ROM? If so, how do I?

1) Get Lunar Address from Fu's site. 2) Add a 01 to the beginning of the address you found in MWR. 3) Enter this number into LA as the SNES address. You should get a PC address. This is the address you can enter into your hex editor to jump to the start of the code. |

Did you remove the dollar sign and the colon before entering the address into your hex editor? If so, with LA, open your ROM and it'll make sure that LA is using the correct ROM map for your ROM.

Smallhacker, I followed your instructions correctly, and the addresses that I got and edited with a hex editor just crashed the game at the title screen. I was editing a flying hammer brother and the ASM pointer is 879D and converted to PC address is 899D.

I forgot to mention I converted from 1879D, 879D is what's listed in MWR.

Ringo: PC 0x899D is the correct address for the start of the hammer bro code. I'm not sure what you've tried to do that would have you thinking otherwise

Tried to find the Mushroom code. Ended up at some crazy place where changing an opcode turned the mushroom into a berry. Figured that if the Mushroom changed, I changed the code right. Probably didn't even change the code right in the first place. More incomplete sentences. |
