Okay, so I got PowerDVD with my DVD ROM. I recently went to WinDVD as someone told me that it had 5.1 sound with it... It didn't, and it lagged every minute or so, so that quickly went, and now I'm back to PowerDVD.

What I'd like to know is, is there a patch, or maybe an actual totally different player that already has 5.1 sound? With these previous two, they say that I have to send them alot of money for it.

Man! I paid $400 for kick ass speakers! I don't wanna pay more money.

Logitech Z-5500 5.1 digital/analog speakers.
500watts RMS total.

Wouldn't it be easier to set the speakers in the audio configuration to 5.1? Anyway, for which player are you searching a patch for?

Asking for another player that does it for free is fine, but we can't exactly tell you where to find a crack for one that doesn't.

I use Media Player Classic for playing DVDs. I don't have 5.1 speakers (just two..), but you could give it a shot to see if it does have surround support.

Ah, so this place is all legal, huh? Pity.

Well, the way 5.1 works, is even if you set everything on your speakers, the software might not allow it unless you pay for the Premium packs. You're forced to stereo sound. I searched Google for anything on it, found nothing, then decided to try here.

WinDVD which had been in my list in eDonkey for quite a while finally downloaded last night, so now I have WinDVD v6.0 Premium. First time I heard my speakers in 5.1! Awesomness!

Thanks for your replies guy!
