| The greatest moment in the history of mankind was the creation of the Internet. Without the Internet, information that we so enjoy now would be harder to come by and therefore making it easier for people with the knowledge to supress those who don't. (The very reason the church enjoyed tremendous power before the common folk became literate in europe). Also, the discovery of electricity is right up there with the creation of the internet. Where would we be without electricity??? A lot of people mentioned anti-biotics but who needs them when mankind has enjoyed the privelidge of Mother Natures very best anti-biotic for centuries, Garlic? |

| On a global scale, the internet is still kind of a niche thing. The number of people who own internet-connected computers is still really low compared to the world population. Heck, the number of people with electricity is still rather low too. |
