| Electricity. Think about the world without it... We'd all be farmers and such. Everyone would be bored as hell and the fastest way to communicate over a distance would be to ride a horse/boat to whomever you wanted to talk to. Antibiotics, the industrial revolution, the moon landing, electronically-created music (and for that matter, anything that plays music short of a live band), massive hentai collections, and video games all wouldn't have been invented without electricity.
