Am I the only one here who is in love with cassettes?

I prefer them over CDs. I prefer the sound of them. Yeah, they are as clear and they sound alot more distorted but I like that about them. Adds kind of an erie effect to the music, espically when you're listening to a darker style of music to begin with.

I also like to record songs on blank cassettes and strecth the tape out so part of songs have parts that sould like they are in slow motion. Yeah. Plus I like how the cassettes look.

Anyone else here prefer cassettes?

Believe it or not, you actually can. My parents still buy cassettes for thier cars and such.

I prefer CDs, but if you've been collecting cassettes for years, might as well stick with it.

You can still buy cassettes.

Hella cheap also. New Casettes (as in still in plastic) are only about 4 bucks and you can usually buy cassettes for anywhere from a quarter to a dollar at garage sales. not to mention all of used music stories have free cassettes bins.

I just started collecting cassettes again a few weeks ago. In the past 3 weeks I got about 50 new cassettes with out spending more than about 20 bucks.

I used to buy all kinds of casette's when I was younger. The most I had was like..9-10. I stopped when I got my first stereo with a CD player then I moved on to CD's. Tapes are really cheap though. That's the best part . It's good when you buy black ones and record your fave songs off the radio . I used to make mix tapes when we would go camping since the radio didn't work up there.
