Try beating it at level 3. That's the lowest possible level to beat it. That enough challenge for you? >.>

So who's seen the debug room? Interesting how it refers to itself as the world map, and has all those useless paths... I wonder if at one point they intended for that to be the world map (minus that one Toad with debugging options of course).

I think it was originally the entrance to Nimbus Land.
HyperHacker, I've heard of the debug room before. I also heard somewhere someone got to it w/o a PAR code, and they were controlling mallow. However, the graphics were a bit glitchy. I'll look into that.
Should the title have *Spoliers* in it? I never beat the game, I haven't had enough time for it.

Try the lvl. 3 challenge, dope.

That's what I'm doing right now, in fact. Trust me, for those of us that think this is a shit-easy RPG, this is a lot of fun. It actually adds some challenge... along with some annoyance (guessing the wrong egg over and over... and twice in a row in Bowser's Keep!)... however, it is seriously a lot more fun to play the game this way!

I think I'll film my last battle or something, cause I just feel like it. I'm playing it on my TV though, because the ROM doesn't like me or something.

Here are the basic rules of the challenge (in case no one knows):

-Beat the game with Mario at lvl 3
-I'm pretty sure if you follow the above rule, you're ok on this next one, but just in case, you have to have Mallow at lvl 4 and Geno, Bowser, and Toadstool at their original levels.
-No cheating. Duh.

And of course, that just means no cheating devices. Every other little bug or whatnot in your game cart is perfectly fine. As far as I know, anyway.

So has anyone here ACTUALLY completed this challenge? I'll upload the final battle video or something if I ever DO finish this. (the egg game will add some time onto that, though)

So how exactly do you do that? The bosses give you EXP, and any attack from some of the later ones would kill everyone in one hit.

1) Lazy Shell, Quartz Charm, Safety Ring, Timed Defense, Star Egg, Rock Candy, etc.

That is everything that keeps you from dying, and also what lets you do heavy damage to later bosses.

2) Lucky Jewel, Lucky Hammer

This makes it so that you can play the egg game in every battle (though you are only fighting boss battles) after you get the third star, and this is what keeps you from getting the exp you need to get past level 3.

3) Only Mario is at level 3. Bowser will be at lvl 8, and Toadstool at lvl 9.

4) You can get 99 FP, unlimited coins, unlimited frog coins if you know how.

5) Group Hug is the cheapest move in existence. (will max out party HP in this quest and fix status ailments)

So really, it is quite possible. Apparently the hardest battles in this quest are Yaridovich and Smithy, and I am guessing that Culex is hard too. I heard that you must beat him, because you need the double stat up from Quartz Charm.

So yea, it's very possible.

I have one question about SMRPG. Does the level up bonuses that come with each level really matter where you distribute it? I'm playing this game over again, with a little more thought now, and so far I've been distributing up so that Mario tends to get either more Atk/Def and HP depending on which offers the highest bonus and Mallow gets more HP or Matk/Mdef depending on which offers the highest bonus. Is this a bad strategy? It seems to be working fast for beating through most of the monsters so far.

Yeah, they really do matter.

It's the difference between (I think it was) 400+ HP and 200, among other things.

Ack, alright. Well, I see it seems like there's not a wealth of information out there from what I've checked so far as to how I should distribute the bonus, so could someone tell me if these are good:

Mario HP and POW
Mallow HP and SPECIAL
Bowser HP and POW
Princess HP and SPECIAL
Geno POW and SPECIAL
