All i have to say is, great idea.

So far what i have seen is really good.

I like verity in graphics and this game has it.
Any chance that you may have some desert themed levels?

What i mean is like just a desert background and what not.

Jungle is good, like i said verity is good.

Only other thing i can say hope to play it soon.

Actually... this is one of the few times I've actually LIKED seeing that background... Probably just me, though.

And there's a SLIGHT miscoloring on the SB coin... there's a dark spot that should be white.

Ah, Peach's Castle. You're right there Someguy, I copied the all of the 4-screen-long level from the flash movie, Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom. And I might try to copy Mario's House from Mario's flashback at the start of ROTMK4.

@Trasher: although it looks like the Donut Plains 1 background, that BG came from SMB2 w3-3. Only the FG is from SMW.

@Cirvante: Yes, of course. I'm leaving this unlocked so that people can use this as a base hack, or to just take stuff for their own hack, just like my SMW GFX Hack (v1.2 coming soon BTW).

There WAS a poison mushroom in this hack, but when I found out it was overwriting the flying cheep cheeps, I had it removed. I've asked mikeyk to put it back for me without overwriting an SMB sprite, but he hasn't been around in quite some time...

You should sent the guy who did that movie an ISP of your hack, or the URL to this thread. I wonder how he reacts when he sees his castle design in a actual mario game ^^

Exactly, AP. I've asked a few people to look into it for me, so I'll just have to wait and see if they can do anything. In the meantime though, I'm just adding some extra features like large SMB3 bushes and stuff.

Exactly Trasher. mikeyk fixed the bullet bill, and added a poison mushroom. I've gone through all the levels tidying them up where necessary and adding some extra GFX from SMB3. I'm testing it right now to find the last remaining glitches, and when I clear those out, it's release time. I don't think I even need to get beta testers again, so I might be able to release it tomorrow or Saturday.

98% of the palettes look good.
The level design gets a 99%.
The ASM gets a 100%.

I'd give this hack a 100% but the graphics themselves are cliche. Everything else makes up for it so I'd give it a 97%. Oh yeah, I noticed you made a level based on Randy Solem's ROTMK...

Concerning the boo race... With a bit of ASM, it should be no problem. You'd set the time that the best time is, then calculate how many frames per second the sprite needs to travel in order to beat the level in time. I'd do it for you, but I'm not at that point yet, sorry.

Either that or it'd have to be a pre programmed moving sprite. But one for each level would make my brain explode. XD
