Yeah, my /board/ dir is in the /public_html/ dir. I don't have a /admin/ dir, though, since I'm using v1.92. So, you're saying that even if you have /admin/ in your /public_html/ dir, it still won't work? |

By the way, just for the info, once you've fixed your Admin panel by changing directories, you also need to (or had better) fix the following files too: online.php, profile.php, thread.php To fix the path to the quick IP links. |

So you're saying that /public_html/admin/ will work with /public_html/board/?

I'm saying all the files from /public_html/board/admin/ will work if moved to /public_html/board/ By the way, why am I a female now ? *rolls eyes* |

OK, so just lump them all in the same dir. And you're female because Xkeeper was bored. Looks like even 7 versions later, the bug is still there. Yay for rushing coding to meet a deadline! |

You still need to correct all the paths inside those files after you moved them, of course. Just open each file and look for the word "admin"... And take it out each time it refers to the folder name.

Originally posted by Elric Yeah. /public_html/board/admin/ Does not work, and nor does: /public_html/admin/ Even after I've changed the directories around and whatnot. I guess I should just try placing every file in one directory? Seems tedious and unorganized, but hey, if it works, it works. |

Considering how messy AcmlmBoards are in the first place, a few more files in the root folder won't hurt or ruin everything for me.

By root folder, do you mean your site's root, or the board's root?

OK. Yeah, it's already a mess. A few more files won't hurt. Mines an even bigger mess, 'cause I have my item shop, my (pathetic) PvP crap, and my PvM thinger I'm working on. And other files to customize my board as well. If you were to compare your /board/ dir to mine, I bet yours wouldn't look very messy at all.

Okay, I want to blow stuff up. Anyways, $root is nowhere to be found in any of my /admin/ and /ppanel/ files now. Thing is, there is something still messed up. Whenever I go into one of these directories, I'm still getting the same issue I've had. Everything seems to go back a directory, so that ultimately makes everything ... basically not work. I'm going to assume is has something to do with either the require for function.php, and or layout.php An example, this is what ipban.php looks like: require '../lib/function.php'; $windowtitle = "$boardname - IP Bans"; $usebase=1; require '../lib/layout.php'; It's really bugging me. Again, this is basically anything in a different directory. I mean, I can get to these locations, and it looks all fine and dandy, but when I get to them, it's all gone to hell. |
