OK, I've gone back to the code for this layout, and added in one tag which might fix a problem that occurred for firefox users. Could anyone who uses firefox please tell me how this post looks for them?

Fricken' yes! BTW, the picture is behind the post, right, and not above it? EDIT: Here is a picture of what it looks like in IE, or did. Since then, some of the text has changed, and so have the link colours. layout v1.1 (edited by Sukasa on 08-14-05 02:08 AM) |

No, it does not. Why don't you get Firefox yourself to be able to check your layout? I always check with both browsers. It looks pretty lame in IE anyway.. both currently and in your link. |

Wow.. I tried to check it out in your profile, but that is seriously messed up. Good luck with this one.

Damn... I can't actually run Firefox, according to the minimum system requirements. Why do you say the layout looks lame, though? The profile page is strange, unlike on the rest of the pages on the board, in profile.php the image in my layout won't show up. If anyone knows which tag I could use to fix this, I'd really appreciate this.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know why you see the image and I don't, though. Prier, do you use IE? The post layout works fine in IE, but with Firefox, apparently the post isn't moving up over the image. Anyways, the post doesn't break the page, right? That's what I'm most concerned about. I suppose I'm using a couple of IE-only tags, which means I'll need to add the corresponding Firefox tags.

I'm using FF. The post doesn't break the page, but I was under the impression that the image was supposed to go ABOVE the post layout. I'm guessing with IE it looks differently? [checks this] Oh I see...that is quite a bit of a difference. Yea the position: relative stuff that you have going in your profile doesn't do a lot of good in FF. It just obsoletes it with additional DIVs. |

Eh. It sucks in FF, i tried IE, and it sucks even worse, I can barely read it. *Setzer shrugs and goes on his way

I changed around some of the coding for the layout, moving the position: relative into a span tag, in the hopes that it would work a little better. How is it now? Setzer: Could you pleae be a little more precise about what sucks? If you can barely read it, check your moniter settings, it stands out quite well for me. I increased the opacity a bit anyways. |

I like what you have in mind, but you still haven't gotten it yet. I use Firefox, and the picture still appears above the text.

OK, I redid the HTML again. If this doesn't work, then i'm only going to try one more thing. If that doesn't work either, then I'm going to go back to my old layout to avoid making my posts so huge.

Just because your layout doesn't work with it doesn't mean it's bad. Maybe you could ask for help from someone around here. It can't be that big of a problem. (edited by Danielle on 08-15-05 07:23 PM) |

I was being sarcastic. I guess I'll keep the layout, but I'm definitely going to take your advice, since someone else HAS to know where I'm going wrong. |
