5. I did a project on this question, once. It's really a matter of opinion, becase the TV wasn't invented all at once, or by one person. However, one of the most influential people to work towards what we now have was Vladimir Zworykin, who was living in the USA at the time of his television's creation. [if this isn't the name you're looking for, I have more]
