OOC: Shoot!!! Hey, that's pretty funny! Subplot, you say? Let me fuel the fire.  "Gah! You mean they're searching the countryside for us from now on? Yeah, that IS bad... Oh God! What about Schwa? That blue ether looks pretty familiar, after all... Janus, we need speed, and we need it NOW. Work some reversed time-magic on us and speed us up, if possible!" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Meanwhile... "You're surrounded! Don't move!" "Whazzat?" In midair, Schwa looks around. He's over the ocean, and helicopters have sphere-formationed around him. He's literally surrounded on all sides. "Do not attempt to attack! You are surrounded!" Schwa tries the reasonable approach... "Okay, what's this all about?" his voice echoes to all the copters. "You KNOW I, a Psi Warrior, would not dare attack the officers of Law unless it was an Evil law. And it isn't! So I won't! And you're saying I will! Someone is MISSING something!!" The head copter radios a broadcasted voice to Schwa, though not terribly loud as before. "Explain yourself. You were chased down the Stardust Speedway last night and seen assulting our copters." "Well, I can assure you it wasn't me..." he reads the officer's mind and continues, "...but if you're thinking my blue ether gives it away, which you are, chances are we have a Doppleganger on our hands." Silence. Then, "Uhm, err, if you say so... We don't believe the Psi Warriors really would turn terrorist on us. But we can't let this go, either... Catch us this Doppleganger and return him, dead or alive." "You got it. Whoever tried framing me is probably Evil, therefore it is my duty to fight it. You have my word that I'll return this foe to you, and I never break a promise. Let Schwa ride!" The copters spread, and Schwa takes off. "Sensae, try and supply me with a telepathic ping on where the perpetrator may be." Interestingly, Sensae does, laughing to himself the whole way. OOC: If this is too over the top, I shall revise this part of the story. |

| OOC: Let's wait til the end to resolve this particular subplot. Have him catch up to us if you want, but I can guarantee he won't see us for long. Which may add some more to the tale... Janus: "Y-Yeah... Yeah, I can. Give me a few minutes. I've got a good one." He sat down on Rijju's back, closed his eyes, and relaxed himself. The blue ether around him, now uncontrolled by his will, started to flare up again and gave off another ping to Schwa, unbeknownst to Janus. When Janus opened his eyes the ether died down and his eyes glowed azure instead. "Haste Hurricane!!!" Instantly, time skipped a few seconds, and then flowed back into motion in a desperate attempt to catch up on what it had lost. The energies flowed around the group, and their perceptions changed as the time used THEM as the vessels for its realignment. The world slowed down drastically, but to anyone but the four travelers, it'd seem like nothing had happened. The end result? They were moving, thinking, and living at a very, very fast rate. | "WaHOO!!" Yiusi just relaxes for the ride. At this rate, they're pretty much practically there already. Meanwhile... "TWO pings? Sensae, what's the matter with you?" "Don't look at me, I only sent you one." "That means one of them is trying to cause me trouble by throwing me off. I'll investigatte them both." And Schwa speeds off, no longer on the trail of Janus but of someone else. Sensae laughs again. |
