I found this completely by accident. When you are in a Latiku cloud, you can press and hold y, left and right and you can go very fast and be able to go through objects

I'm not able to do it...

Can somebody make an zsnes movie who confirms this? It could just be something that he did in a hack thought...

Left and Right together? Isn't that normally impossible?

Reminds me of the older NES emulators, some of them allowed to hold Left+Right, and it sometimes had weird results in games ... like Mario running backwards in SMB1, or Link moving really fast in Zelda 2 I even saw it happen on the real NES, with my cousin's controllers that don't work really well ...

I had an old NES controller that allowed left and right to be pressed at the same time...I always did that in Zelda 2 because I liked the weird effect.

I'm pretty sure I could do that too, lol.

But I think I'll try this glitch out.

If I remember correctly there were third-party controllers advertised at the time using that as a 'special feature' of theirs.

Theres alot of games out there that have opposite direction glitches... like Zelda LTTP. MANY glitches are done by doing that.

It works on SNES9X for me, on the normal game and the hacks. And if you do it on the original SMB, you can shoot out fireballs really fast

You have a link to a page explaining these glitches? I'd like to try them out.

They usually at least take the time to fix those things when porting or re-releasing. Like with Zelda: Links Awakening, the original game has that glitch where you can skip screens by pushing select when transferring screens, but in LoZ:LADX, they fixed it. Now we just need a re-release of Lufia 2 with those few BIG glitches fixed.

Wow weird stuff happens when you do it in other games? I experenced this in zelda2 and my little brother played with it laughing constantly for an hour. I'll have to see what it does on other games.

I just had a weird glitch today when playing this game.

i was on yoshi, and went to eat a pipe lakitu, when the lakitu threw a spiny right as yoshi went to eat it. I jumped off Yoshi, and the lakitu was suspended in mid-air, fully functional. Never been able to re-produce this glitch though. Weird.

Funny thing, in the emulated Link's Awakening, if you hold all the direction buttons down, it ammounts in a wierd glitch where you can go through things .

The SMB1 shoot faster glitch is kind of fun.
