I can't get some things to work right.

1. I have created a new overworld with new paths to the same old levels but I can't get the paths to "light up" when I complete a level. They either stay dark or the old events pop up somewhere else on the map.

2. I can't get my backrounds to work right. I can't even get them in the game! I have two pictures that I need in the game. They can be downloaded from http://www.freewebs.com/playstation4/. That file also contains my ROM IPS.

3. How do I make levels transparent?

4. There is probably some more stuff but I can't think of it right now.

BTW MY IPS IS NOT LOCKED SO PLEASE DON'T STEAL ANY OF MY LEVEL IDEAS (not that I have any that you people would want yet). AND THE IDEA OF THE NEW VINNILA DOME IS MINE!!

If anyone can get the two pictures that are in the downloadable ZIP file into backround files that would be great thanks.

BTW tell me what you think of level 13A.

1a. The paths light up due to your making events which create lit paths over the old ones.
1b. Then delete all the old events.

2. No clue about this one.

1. so if i delete the old events the paths will light up without me creating new events?

2. Ill jsu have to try some more. I just don't know what to name, where to put and how to import the backrounds so they get into the game.

3. I saw this screen shot of a cave/water level and the level was transparent, meaning that I could see the backround through the level but still partly see the level. They was some numbers or something that you could put in and it would do it for you but I can';t seem to find the post that was on this board a while ago.

1. No, you should delete the old events so they don't interfere, but you'll still have to make events where the paths light up.

2. Okay, I've seen the pictures. They are far too detailed to put into a 16-bit game. Sorry.

3. Ah yes... One of the options is layer transparency. I thought you meant on the overworld. For example, level mode 1E is a horizontal tranparent level. Use it if you want the things to have a crystalline appearance. Or if you want layer 2 to be transparent but not layer 1, use 1F. Sorry, can't seem to find a vertical transparent level, don't think you can use them.

EDIT: So I opened up the ROM to see what you were talking about was so good you didn't want anyone to steal and I look in and I'm like "Whoaly shit. That overworld's incredible." I've never seen such a good overworld... Sure, some of it's not done, but it still is incredible.

Levels don't appear to be edited, except to make them all water levels, and kill everyone who doesn't press jump several times at the very start.

1. I have gotten rid of the events (i havent uploaded the new IPS though). I have no idea how to make new events. I can open up this window called event editor but all it shows is the event that happens after you beat the first ghost house (the one where the bridge gets created). So I don't know how to make new events.

2. That sucks. guess I will have to get new pics.

3. Thank you I needed horizontal level transparency. Now where do I need to input the 1E or 1F data?

I know that my levels aren't edited I am working on graphics and the "look" of the game then all the levels.

It's a problem with the patch that for some reason makes all levels water levels, and makes your placement at the start below the screen. No clue why.

1. Click on the hill with a star.
2. press page up to move the event counter up and page down to move it down. select the event you want.
3. Open the Event Tile Selector.
4. use the down and up arrow keys to select the page you want.
5. Paste the events you want to occur where you want them to occur in the order you want them to occur.
6. If you place them out of order, you can correct this by deleting the events that are out of order and pressing the home and end buttons to select the step you want, then pasting them in in the correct order.
7. Move on to the next event.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

I am off to hack my ROM with some events!!

I know why its screwed up. Because I accidently used a ROM that had been edited before and not the unedited ROM. I will make an IPS with my edited credits, your name (if you want me to include it for helping me out alot), my almost done title screen (as soon as i record for the title screen video), and my events. thanks again!!
