| Most likely to Luna's dismay, Rusty, the horse she had stolen, could be spotted from a distance right next to the shack. He was now using the downtime to graze on small tumbleweed, one of the only edible plant life for miles. Rusty: ... neigh. |

((*Gives points to everyone* Good job, moving along and such without me  ))Hikari steps inside of the shack, assuming the burly man was already taken care of. The man was in a state of confusion, seeing his beautiful plan taken down so quickly. Mitra: Ah told you so. Hikari: Mitra! Are you ok? Mitra: Ah am now, thanks ta you.  Burly Man: Grrrraaah! No! Ah ain't gonna let this happen lahke this! The burly man decides to take down atleast one person with him. He targets the smallest person with some height, Hikari. Mitra: Hikari! Look out! A quick flash of silver flew across the air as blood began to splurt out of the burly man's chest. Hikari hopped to the side, allowing the burly man to topple over on his face. Hikari leaned over to wipe the blood off of her dagger on the man, who was now laying in the fetal position. Hikari: I'm too lazy to feel like tyin' him for the cop folk. C'mon, Mitra. Mitra: Thank ya'll very much for savin' me. |

| Luna: "..." Luna stared at the horse, and then just ignored it, walking towards the shack. Maya saw Luna before Luna saw her and hid behind one of the shack walls. Luna smelled blood and the first thing that crossed her mind was that she missed some of the fun. |

| At that instant, several of the boards in the back of the shack came flying off, opening a large hole into the outside. Melvin, Smithy, and Booster leapt inside, all with guns drawn. Melvin: Hands in the air, you ba... The three were pointing their guns at a bewildered Mitra and Hikari. Melvin scratched his head and lowered his gun, the other two following suit. Melvin: Well... if anyone asks... We kidnapped you and, uh... raped you. Smithy: Brutally. Melvin: Brutally! The three promptly filed out, leaping onto their waiting horses, and rode off all badass-like before the town's policemen started to show up. |

| Luna: "ITS YOU THREE!" Luna jumped onto the shack roof and started firing at the three of the "bandits". Luna: "Hey, don't run from me!" Luna jumped off the roof and landed on the ground, reloading and firing again, now aiming for their horses instead of them. Maya was right behind Luna, but she had a better idea, of moving away as quietly as possible. |

| Hikari quickly stepped out of the shack and tried to search for the three jerks who just ran off. She glanced back to see Mitra kneeling beside the burly man. Hikari: Mitra! Mitra: But he's hurt.. Hikari: *sighs* He kidnapped you Mitra. Mitra: But.. Hikari grabs Mitra's right arm and starts pulling her out of the shack. Hikari: There's too much goin' on here. C'mon! |

| Teddy: Uh oh, where's my horse? Where's my horse? There he is! Teddy lifted up his sombrero to reveal his smiling face, but the horse seemed disinterested and resumed chewing on its tumbleweed. Teddy adjusted Rusty's saddle to a more comfortable position, then made his way into the shed to examine that bute of a cannon. Teddy: Hmm ... mycannon! Finders keepers, losers weepers. So, I guess that makes me a keeper ... and you all ... weepers, then. I have some tissues in my saddlebag if your sleeves won't do. |

| Luna: "I... hate that guy..." Luna, very angry, picked up her gun and put it back. She screamed in her mind that she'd catch up with them someday and kill them all, or at least put them to shame. Luna turned around and saw Maya just turn the cornor of the shack. She started to walk the other way, hoping to get Maya by surprise. Maya stopped at the front door after hearing what Teddy said. | Almost as if Glenn spoke the magic words, a young man, riding atop of a powerful, brown steed, leapt out from seemingly nowhere. The horse nearly trampled Hikari, who was busy leaping out of the way. After the interesting hit and run, the man continued off to the north. Hikari: As soon as some nut comes rollin' to town, the action won't stop for a while. Hum.. did you see the ponytail on that fella? .... Mitra! | As the three members of the Gurio Gand rode off into the distance, Melvin leaned back, setting his feet on the back of his horse. Melvin: Hey, not a bad thing to try and be the good guy for once. Booster: So the lawmen lower their guards? Melvin: No, so we get cute girls to hang out with us. At the sound of another horse galloping along nearby, Melvin opened his eyes and turned his head - to see another horse, with another would-be kidnapper, with Mitra in his arms, who was evidently in a hurry to get away, as evidenced by the fact that he was rapidly passing the trio. Melvin leaned up, and swiveled around. Melvin: I'm not passing up this chance. Booster, give me your rifle. Booster handed the scoped rifle to Melvin without hesitation, who pressed the scope up against his glasses with a soft, barely audible clink. He set the crosshairs over the cowboy's head, and... Bang. The cowboy's hat flew off and sailed away onto the ground behind him, making his look behind him, and then to the left, to see the three. Melvin promptly grinned and waved stupidly at him, cocking the rifle with the lever action and bringing it back to shooting position. |

| Companion: "Yes, again... Your dancing friend seems to attract a lot of attention. Can we actually have horses this time?" He notes the horse the burly man rode to the shack on, and walks over to it... "This'll do. Come on, Priesty dude!" Priest: "Er, what?" Companion: "It's more of that "Proving our worth" thing!" Priest: "But you haven't even gotten any kind of confirmation that they're going to accept you even if you DO succeed in whatever the hell it is you're attempting!" Companion: "I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the hoofbeats of the kidnapper!" The man fired out his arm, grabbed the priest by the shoulder, and pulled him up onto the horse. He looked at Hikari expectantly. |

She gets kidnapped way to often..." Luna sighed and waited for either a spare horse or another way to travel, running again wasn't a very happy idea. |

| Hikari: She gets kidnapped that much, and she still tries to heal them darned thugs. Hikari didn't even bother giving the priest nor his companion a look. She had jumped back onto her horse She gave out a little sigh while she gave the horse a little pet. She then noticed the beautiful sniper shot in the distance done by one of the Gurio Gang members. The kidnapper's soft brown hair was revealed, showing off a cleaner look than most other rustler-looking guys in the area. Hikari: Hey, you snake bastards! You gonna get Mitra hurt by doing that! Her hands quickly moved around, holding her bow in proper position. An arrow was sent soaring into Booster's gun slightly denting the barrel. Hikari put the bow away and gave her horse the signal to start galloping. Hikari: I don't care who you guys are but I'd rather chase them down to the mountain up there than to have Mitra gettin' her dress dirtied up. |

| Teddy scrutinized the old cannon while the others had started the chase back up. He gave it a good wipe down with the old rag he had lifted from the bartender in town, then kissed it in the clean spot. Teddy: What. A. Relic. Zap will definitely be pleased with my handsome handy-work at acquiring this. Hmm ... I'll have to send a ranch hand back for it though. Bit heavy. Teddy stepped out of the shack and began to ponder his next move. He still had some business in town to finish up ... that was of primary importance ... But all the action was heading in a different direction. Teddy ended up hopping on ol' Rusty and started trotting in the direction of the chase. Teddy: ... Well, a cowboy needs a horse, needs a horse, needs a horse : And a pair of fancy spurs, fancy spurs, fancy spurs : If he wants to keep riding ... riding ... along. |

| The mountain in the distance began to look clearer to Hikari. The peak of the Stairway to Hell seemed to want to scrape the sky. There was a ring of clouds around the top of the mountain, but since Hell's part of the name, Hikari assumed it was some sort of volcano. She shook her head, attempting to focus her thoughts. She's supposed to be concentrating on chasing after the man. Hikari: Huh? Where did he go? Hikari looked around, and couldn't find the kidnapper nor Mitra. She continued to scan the area. There was a tall wall of earth that curves around the mountain. Hikari: No foolin' me. |

| As the three members of the Gurio Gang relentlessly pursued the kidnapper, who sped along with Mitra over his shoulder, Melvin and Company were steadily falling behind the suave kidnapped. Raising Booster's rifle up for his vision to pass through the scope, Melvin took aim, and fired off a shot directly at the back of the man's head - which passed over his shoulder? Melvin fired off several more shots, depleting the rifle of ammunition. Every shot seemed to be a near miss, almost as if the kidnapper had a Protagonist Bullet Deflector... |

| The kidnapper momentarily pulls out a magnet labeled 'negative' from his mouth for a second. Kidnapper: Wha's wrong with these people? I was exclusively told I needn't worry 'bout guns blazin' at me when I'm with the phoenix! All of a sudden, a large boulder fell infront of the kidnapper's path. He immediately pulled on his horses reigns, sliding right off the horse, with Mitra falling on him. Kidnapper: Oof! Mitra: Eek! Thanks for the soft landin', stranga. The boulder falling didn't end there. A few good sized chunks of rock fell between the Gurio Gang and the kidnapper, hindering the path for a bit. There was a shriek and a yell and then silence. Hikari finally managed to catch up to the Gurio Gang, and quickly shot glares at them. Hikari: What the... Hey! You snake bastards have been shootin' again, haven't you?! I have the right mind to give ya'll a runnin' through. |

| Luna saw her ticket to catching up with everyone, her own horse had finally come back to her. She jumped on it and sped away, her horse kicking up pleanty of dust. Maya was almost caught up with everyone, something just hitting her. Maya: "WAIT! If that bear wasn't afraid of the vulture cause he was sure the vulture wouldn't attack... That means he's not alive!" |
