| I almost forgot about this but IGN has a list of the top 100 games of all time. This includes every system or even arcade games. | I'd give the nod to SMB3 over SMB1 if you had to put one of them in the top spot. X-Com, Rome: Total War and ICO in the top 20... I don't think so. Stretch to put them in the top 100 really (X-Com's the only one I could see and that would be further down). |

| That's the thing. I just kind of find it annoying Starcraft is still insanely popular after all these years. I mean yeah, some videogames do that, but it's like Starcraft is still this huge obsession to people. I can't really explain it. I loved the game to death, trust me, but ugh. | While I'm mostly mad with this list, I'm not with Starcraft's position (on the top 100, not it's actual position): Face it, few strategy games succeed at creating as finely balanced and yet, different sides as in Starcraft. The game is simple enough to learn, takes a Anyway... Still, while Starcraft definitely deserve a high rank... it does not deserve SUCH a high rank. Top 57? maybe... Top 7? I can easily name 8 games better than Starcraft. Alos, like everyone said, I just cannot understand how a random Madden game can be ranked higher than Secret of Mana. Also, yes, FF6 IS overrated... but FF4 being THAT much better (let alone, any better)? I don't think so! Anyway, that list is mostly majorly bad... but well, since people have different tastes, a perfect list cannot be done... altought I'll admit that this list is quite close to "rock-bottom" quality. | Yes, I agree that Madden game showhow appearing on the list was messed up. I didn't see that coming. SMB is a great game that I keep playing all the time, most of the time it's usually the original one. Still, there has to be a game that can rank higher than SMB. As of all the games, I sadly own a few of them not including roms. |

| Am I the only one who thought Secret of Mana sucked? Sure, it's an alright game, but I wouldn't say it was top 100 material. I mean, the story was bad, the characters were...barely characters, the gameplay was really really repetitive, the music bordered on ear-bleeding, the ending sucked, and it had SANTA CLAUS in it. Really, it's almost a terrible game whose only saving grace is its multiplayer. Oh, and the graphics were alright. Aaanyway...lists are never good. I could make a list everyone here agreed with, and an entirely different group would find a thousand flaws. "Official" ones try to appeal to everyone, and just manage to piss everyone off. What they should REALLY do is not number them. Just list the top 100 games in no specific order, that way you leave people some room for interpretation. |

| Ok! What's this Final Fantasy VI is overrated thing?  It's still the best RPG ever created, period. Think for a moment of all other RPGs created untill 1994 and compare them to all those great things that were implemented in Final Fantasy VI...can you name one RPG that had all that and even more than that at the time?
