Just thought of something neat regarding Nintendo Revolution. This is NOT something I heard, read, or dreamed, just something I thought up on my own, before any rumours start. Anyway, I wonder if it could have netplay? It uses emulation to play NES/SNES/N64 games, and is supposed to have a lot of online stuff, so why not?

Didn't I suggest this in a Revolution thread awhile ago?

EDIT: No, not per se. My first post in this thread.

I'm 99999% sure that this "suggestion" is made verbatim 3 times every second somewhere on the internet.

Netplay would be a good idea. I don't see why it shouldn't have the option. I don't know if Nintendo would do that though. They'd probably focus online features for their new games and have games two player if you had two controllers and such.

Yeah, I don't know why they wouldn't do that...

I MEAN IT IS ONLY CALLED EMULATION

They (Nintendo) have already brought up this topic a few weeks ago and said they're looking into the technology.

i don't like it how nintendo is keeping everyone guessing but i think that they probably will use emulation that will be almost perfect. anyway i wanna see the controller quite soon cause i have a feeling that if nintendo are saying it is thhe way forward it probably is.

Well, given how they're the company who MADE those three systems, logic would assume that the emulation will be as perfect as possible. I doubt they'd use a buggy emulator.

Actually, they used a pretty shitty emulator for the Zelda Collection since MM has slowdown in places where it used to run PERFECTLY FINE. I mean, seriously, Nintendo is the only company that can fuck up emulating its own system.

Yeah I don't know how they managed to do that! It crashed so freakin' much that I quit playing it. I guess something weird happened when they tried porting it to the GameCube. Nintendo tends not to go the extra mile with their extra features.

The MM issues are well-known and Nintendo even MENTIONED that the emulation isn't 100%... but the game works and is playable.

The other games in the collection, however, work well.
