he means the actual namelength. its 10 characters, and if you somehow even managed to hack them to be longer, the rest of the game text when a 11+ char. name appeared would be stuffed up beyond beleif. just stick to 10...there shouldn't really need to be much more than that  (I mean hey, If they can fit Feraligatr into 10, I'm sure you can figure out somthing  ) |

Sure, it's possible to hack the name length, but you'd have to hack every instance of it, reorganize things to fit them, and of course have fun allocating more memory to hold the longer names of your party, your enemies, and every single pokemon in your PC. Now, if you had the source code... |
