This thing could have been in a public restroom for three months, found on the ground, and then sold on Ebay for all we know. But I certainly find the odds of there being a circulated 2 dollar bill um... let's just say... low. |

Amazing how an item, with its worth literally labled ON it, goes up and down with value within its own country just because its circulated or not . | |||

Originally posted by Keikonium That's a great find, Keikonium; if there are seven (or six) digits, then you'll only get a palindromic number once in ten thousand bills! (The first four digits cvan be anything, but the last three have to be the first three in reverse order.) With the letters it's that much better. In Japan people like having all the same digit, called zoro-me. I once saw a Y1000 bill (about $8.50 US, maybe) in a coin shop selling for Y120,000, simply because the number on it was 888888. I once read about a math professor who was giving out bounties for bills with important mathematical constants on them, like 314159 or 271828. Hopefully he found a few. |

They give out 2 dollar bills as change when you buy your admission ticket to Monticello. I went there yesterday and picked one up. They also sell the blue notes and red notes in the gift shop for about $25 dollars each. |
