Since i am a big Zelda: LTTP hacker, i havent spent a lot of time in the SMW scene. I am just looking for some cool hacks to maybe put on a cartridge and play. Any suggestions? Also, please provide links to screenshots and a download if possible.

Your telling me that no new good hacks have been released since that thread was last edited? Like 2/3 of the links there are broken, and I started by checking there.

I know my hacks are not the best, but you can download them and see what you think about them:

Dr. Mario World

Mario is Missing 2

Super Mario Sunshine SNES demo

When Freewebs stops acting up (page cannot be displayed) you can see screenshots of my hacks on my website.

Super Mario Odyssey by BMF54123. Only a demo 2 so far, but I wonder how nobody mentioned it yet.

Use my Layout's search function to look it up. My abilities of browsing are vastly limited in this ... internet cafe thing there is here.

None of them.

Because best kinda implies finished.

And, y'know... I've made this argument before, etc.

The point is, the only good one is Super Mario Odyssey, and that's not finished.

Demo World: The Legend Continues should be worth a try. SMO is better, because it has more interesting themes and levels (well, not the first world, but you'll figure out why that doesn't matter soon enough) and neat stuff like the training level, so I'd definately go for it first. TLC, while not without its problems, has quality graphics and decent levels and quite a few ASM hacks to keep your interested. But then there's bad boss battles and annoying item box gimmicks and all kinds of nasties in TLC so I'd go with Super Mario Odyssey first and then move on to TLC. Plus TLC isn't a demo.

But in my experience those are the only two really worth the setup and download. If anybody would like to say differently by showing me a really good hack I overlooked, go right ahead.

The only reason it wouldn't be is because no one gives me information to update it with. If someone mentions that a link is broken, I'll try to update it. If no one complains, I'll assume no one cares.

I last edited that page a week ago. Have no good hacks come out since then? I don't believe so. I should keep them updated better (Ninji Saga should be there, at least), but the release rate of good SMW hacks recently hasn't been that great, and it's reflected in that thread. *shrug* If broken links bother you, bring them to my attention or rehost the files.

The Ninji saga was only what, 10, 8 levels? And while they started out good they got much worse as you went on and near the end the glitches were intolerable... and some easily avoidable.

And assuming those other games you mentioned are as bad as Dr. Mario World or worse than The Ninji Saga they would have to suck.

And fix your grammar.

Take a chill pill.

Anyways, most of the good hacks have been mentioned, if you're looking for anything else, the latest couple of pages will serve you well, and there's a demo of COTMK 1 at my site if you want to try that.

eternaldragonx: I've learned from being on this board that some people here are EXTREMELY picky and just dogs out other hacks for sometimes no reason.

Example:
Glyph Phoenix: And assuming those other games you mentioned are as bad as Dr. Mario World or worse than The Ninji Saga they would have to suck.

......You can't please everyone, a handful, maybe. You just have to ignore certian comments and keep trying to have fun posting here. Thats how I do things here for now on. Remember, flamming will just get you nowhere, and eventually banned.

EDIT: My dr. Mario hack IS complete.

Some other good ones would be the SMW+ series, by Golden Yoshi.

Youre right... though sometimes the comments here border the flame line... instead of the constructive criticism line.

Yelling "OMG THERE IS A GLICTH FIX IT NOW THIS HACK SUX" Isnt helping. Explaining the problem, and suggesting possible improvements, thats a comment most of us can listen to.

Bad Example : Your palettes hurt my eyes. Fix them.

Good Example : That yellow palette is a little too bright. Tone it down to match that green. Better yet, why not use a dark blue?

See, constructive... yes, I have fallen to the bad example side sometimes, but havent we all at one point?

As for hacks, you could give JAMH a try. It may not have ASM hacks, but it has some pretty GFX
