Is there any way to have more than 2 of those message boxes in one level? Most of my levels might have at least 3 or more of these so I need to know.

Edit: By the way, the thread title should say text instead of test for those of you who don't know.

I don't think there is, but it might be possible if you have a pipe in your level leading to a different sub-level (like in Yoshi's Island 1, there is a pipe that leads to a cave - you may be able to put message boxes in there)

Might be wrong though, but you should try it

No, two message boxes are chosen by level number at the start of a level, and even if you take a screen exit, you will still get those same messages.

No. You need ASM.

In order to avoid editing a lot of message box code, you can make a block which shows the third message (which is always the Yoshi message), but that requires that there's no way to get Yoshi on the Yoshi's Island submap. Also, the third message is always the same on every level.

Another possibility is to make an invisible and passable block around the message block which changes the current level number and thereby, changes which text to show.

Can't you have a bunch if you have a sub-level that is the number of a level that can be placed on the overworld? I always thought you could.

No, only if you change the level number during the level, and I think that causes problems with things like Pause+Select.
