I don't think they should make another one cause the first one sucked. They made Bowser look like a pile of poop. Please vote and reply what you think.

Yes. They should do another one. Not a sequel though. They should make a good one that actually resembles the game itself.

His name was Koopa in this movie, not Bowser. He looked kinda evil, but not like a pile of poop.

Are we talkin' live action? full CG? Cartoon?

live action should be right out as demonstrated by the first movie, unless of course somebody does it juuuust right.

It'd be hard to sell a CG version as CG is becoming so Ubiquitous at the theatres that it doesn't seem like it would stand out and do well.

And that Disney farm movie was the tombstone to hand animated American motion pictures. ALAS!

NO. After seeing what they did to Bowser, goombas, Yoshi and Toad, I say hell no.

Off Topic: (Do you think there should be anymore super mario polls on this forum (since, now, every concievable topic for a poll concerning Mario is now taken)?)

...You know, I actually liked the Mario live action movie. Of course, it wasn't ANYTHING like the game, but I still think it kicked ass. If there was to be another Mario movie, though, I would suggest CG. I just rented Mario Power Tennis on Friday, and I LOVED the opening movie...if there could be a full movie like that, with a little slower pace and clearer talking, it would be gold.

Edit: Whee! Post 666!

Not only will there not be, but this thread should not be either. (Just because you're bored, it doesn't mean ANYTHING that pops in your head should become a thread.)

I reckon there should be, but have a better resemblence to the games... and maybe make Bowser look like Bowser, the goombas NOT look like people with traffic cones on their heads and such.

Considering how terrible the last movie was, HELL NO! There should not be a sequel or a remake. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to come to the conclusion that video games do not make for good movies, just like movies do not make for good video games (see Mission: Impossible the game for N64, or better yet, the newer multiplatform Die Hard games). Games are games, movies are movies. You can't cross the two together and hope for something fairly constructive, because that's just the way they are.

On a side note, however, I would especially resent to the idea of a sequel/remake being made if Uwe Boll (who brought us House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark, which I rented just two days ago BTW... horrible movie) bought the rights to this piece of trash. He's ruining GREAT video games, and making asses out of fine-talented actors/actresses/stars doing it (I'm sure the single most prestige stars from Das Boot and T3 will one day end up going from making a Hall of Fame run to winding up in the Hall of Shame after starring in Uwe Boll's two previous disasterpieces). He would make a mockery out of even the original movie to which it was based. Sure the original 1994 adaption of Super Mario Brothers was terrible, but even it was a masterpiece compared to Uwe Boll's latest randitions of games-to-movies (see HotD and AitD for further details). Thankfully, Uwe Boll tends to create on-screen adaptions of M-rated videogames and as such, would not be interested in another Mario film, which is good news for anyone who knows what this hack is capable of as a director, which is nothing more than make p.o.s. films and taking the piss out of die hard fans of the games he crapped all over.

I'm thinking no. I really don't think Mario is something that people can make a live action movie, CG movie, or cartoon about. Anything like that always seems to suck... >>

Now a Zelda movie would be cool. It would have a lot of action and stuff.

*Coughmarioicecapadescough*

I think that the world has proven that Mario does not equal real world, and thusly should not be a live action film.

Theres plenty of other things out there... you just need a storyline, and for it to be ANIMATED for goodness sakes...

No way! The first one was terrible! I Didn't like it at all.
If they ever make another one, they should make one that resembles the game.
