Can we make it to where banned users can't send PM's? I get enough from a guy ( no name mentioning) that's gets banned for spamming. I go on and stay with because, I think he will stop eventully. Please don't make me suffer... (edited by MarioMaster on 07-15-05 06:23 PM) (edited by MarioMaster on 07-15-05 06:51 PM) |

Admins can read PMs (this is known), so they can check the amount of spam and might even delete that account, although it's their thing and I'm no staff member. I think this might also be an idea, like in another thread, to make PMs a right and not a feature; since it seems to be worse in your case with his PMs. It could work similar like a custom title, except that it is enabled by default. If someone misuses that feature for spam, he/she might get that right removed - so the messages simply won't leave the sender - or the way to private.php is blocked. |

I think you mean privelege, not right. And blocking private.php would make them unable to recieve messages.

I like this idea. The point of users being banned is for them not to be able to get on the forum...

Originally posted by Thomas See, our definition of ban is different. It is merely a restriction of interaction on the board. The allocation of PMs is so that they can contact a moderator. |
