Why not have him stand guard on your windows? To use it, just run it, bring up a non-maximized window and check it out. Right-click for a menu, all options should be self-explanatory. And before Kawa hits me, all I did was tweak the source from one of his sitters a bit. (Which of course means you'll need VB6 runtimes.) Oh, and if you're looking for the settings in the registry (watch out with that Offset ) they're still in the same place as Kawa's. ...Oh yeah, and it only works in Win2K and up. (I oughta make that error message a little clearer.) (edited by HyperHacker on 04-10-04 12:04 AM) (edited by HyperHacker on 04-10-04 06:51 AM) |

Originally posted by HyperHackerI did it too, of course it took a bit more than simply replacing a bitmap. I actually went and found the damn offset for where it is on the window titlebar, a real pain in the ass really. I still like the other one I have, since it's w98 friendly and actually does something [*blink blink*] other than just sit there. [rolls eyes] Too lazy to make one a w98 one indeed. |

I had to change the offset too, or it'd be ugly. And I didn't even know you could do it on Win98. It says 2K and up in the code, so I figured the rest don't support it. | |||

I remember these, and the one with the Yoshi's Island monkey on the side of the windows.... I've seen a few episodes of Inuyasha, and it seems pretty cool (I may have to buy a dvd box set and watch it sometime....if there is a dvd box set ) Now that I'm tempted to mess around with it, I remember the link is gone with the old board. *Is tempted to make one that changes picture based upon day of the week, time of day, or window size for variety...* I've always loved desktop toys. I really want to make something like this E-Sheep, only have it be a videogame character. Or have multiple different characters running around and interact with each other like these sheep do. http://www.slinkycity.com/dtp//sheep.zip |

Dammit. This reminds me of a little Pikachu who would run around on top of your windows. My comp that had it crashed ;-; God that thing was cute... It would walk around, fall off the side, walk through the Start menu like a swamp, climb up to the top, and you could drag it around, and if you let go it'd fall and then bounce several times... God I wish I still had that... (edited by Kyouji (edited by Kyouji "Kagami" Craw on 04-10-04 12:53 PM) |

http://www.dhodrien.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Pets/Pikachu.zip Here is that Pikachu toy. It is almost exactly like the sheep, and they even react to each other. It even says "Pika Pika" How cute! (for some reason though, if you have all three running, they will drag Inuyasha around the screen with them! XD |
