i say i love you seph in te manliest way possible ok ill shutup now im so happy your continuing with hacking i absolutly love your work, just a quick Q though so are you starting out from scratch again or are you using most of you previous overworld? because i know that the previous versions OW was completed ,well at least thats what you said, one more thing what can we expect from gfx changeing or altering in this version of LOZ that differs from LTTP aside from the obvious that we've seen, thanks in advance sincerly, EDX (the guy who loves you in the manliest way possible) |

SePH, I'd still up for some beta testing if you'd need it, aight? Great job there, as usual. I'm very glad to see you back in Romhacking. (edited by KTurbo on 09-10-05 08:50 AM) |

"I think he means the colors of the bricks seems to be the same shade. Still... damn good show. The water especially looks good." -coming from such a great gfx artist, i'm taking it as a compliment. as a mather of fact, your the first one that told me what AA was all about. i'm slowly learning ways to do stuff of my own. "just a quick Q though so are you starting out from scratch again or are you using most of you previous overworld?" - im taking overworld places from GoT, TotT and made plenty of new ones. recycling as much content as I can. i don't intent to scrap everything each time, im having a life again now, meaning partial time only and with no rush it gives me time to think how i want my areas to be. my biggest flaw so far was to make those smaller areas. i have been having a hard time designing them. big areas are easier since you have so much space. " what can we expect from gfx changeing or altering in this version of LOZ that differs from LTTP" - all the graphics from all overworld areas will be altered/edited to match the new standard of these areas. and it all started with me including that optimized grass. then i thought, about changing the water and then the desert. after sometime i started editing the building themselves, nothing major for the most since i wanna keep the original feel. the trees might need some AA work aswell. "I'd still up for some beta testing if you'd need it, aight?" -yeah youve been here since the very beginning KT. thus bug testing should be a fun part in a few months. there's a few that are willing to do it and you know who you are. till then there's still some job for me to do. im not giving deadlines cuz if i do so, it's going to be rushed work like past times and ill end up giving up again... |

Rar. More details later, but for now, I present my newbie hack, SMW Outrun (yes, OV is crap, I know. just quick shots for now): www.geocities.com/smashbrosx/SMWOutrunTitle.png www.geocities.com/smashbrosx/SMWOutrunOV.png Hmm...guess which game it's based on? (EDIT: Hmm...img doesn't want to work so I'll just have to make you all copy+paste it, cause I really have to get off the computer sorry) (edited by Cardcaptor Yoshi on 09-10-05 08:27 PM) (edited by Cardcaptor Yoshi on 09-10-05 08:27 PM) (edited by Cardcaptor Yoshi on 09-10-05 08:28 PM) |

Oh my god *puzzled* That OV is confusing. The level layout and paths are nice, it's just too square and no detail. I like your title screen, and how you used the yoshi coin symbol to make the word OUTRUN. I'd like to see some level screenies though, if you can |

Annnnddddd we're back! With more info on SMW Outrun, so you can stop going "WTF is going on?" and instead go "WTF is he thinking?" In case you have not heard of the spiffy Sega game Outrun, let me give you a quick little run-over of it. Basically, it's a racing game. Surprise. And the thing that made it different is that you could essentially take a different path each time. You start out at the first stage, and at the end of it there's a fork. Go one way, you're in one stage. Go the other, you're somewhere completely different. And the roads keeps splitting until you end up in one of 5 different ending locations (or you run out of time). And so, since I'm too lazy to make a big humongous 100 exit hack, I decided that that sounded like a cool idea for a novel SMW hack. Kinda like how SMW would be if it was an arcade game. To complete the analogy, on the overworld pic I labeled each level with a letter (boy, this sounds like a lame teaching lesson). Mario starts at A. From there, he will go to one of the B levels (depending on which exit he chooses. the higher up you go, the harder it gets). From there, he has another split to make, landing him at one of 3 locations (although you only get 2 to choose from. plan wisely!). And eventually, you'll end up at one of five "endings". Ta-da! And, uh, that's SMW Outrun (er, Super Mario Outrun). I haven't started on the levels yet (or anything else ) so, uh, no more pics for now. Sorry! |

Dr. Mario I really like your graphics for Doki Doki Panic 2, it is really good work you did. I like the Castlevania touch you put in there too.

Some finished areas of Ancients Cry. I better get done with the graphics, cause at this point I'm thinking of redoing the older ones. Let's hope it doesn't come to that^^ and... A project two others are working on, but at the time have become rather bored with inserting mugs. At the moment, I'm inserting portraits, weapon sprites, and overworld stills and animations. Note that I'm not inserting the palletes, so the original pallete is being shown I hate RGB values. |

Good to hear youre back editing SePH been a while since weve chatted so i only just became aware of it. Despite your sound advice of not redoing areas too much i couldnt resist so i started altering the waterfall palace overworld area again! Just a small glimpse...Im avoiding showing too much of my work off so not to ruin things. |

Good god, that looks splendid! As long as it stays a hobby, I don't see any reason why you couldn't retouch a few areas. That first screen for exemple is brilliant; I like the way the water flows each side. For my hack, I haven't worked on it for about a week or two, I don't have much time for the computer at all, except visit these boards from time to time. Even msn is just too much. Anyway this isn't really the place, nor the time for a chat, so I'll be brief.. Can't wait to see more stuff from you and well have a talk sometime later, ok |

Yes faulks, that's Kitten Yiffer in that screenshot The important thing however is that Unkillable now has a functional scripting engine. Even Machinema! (edited by Kawa-oneechan on 09-18-05 07:47 AM) |

Cool, but the area reserved for text is far too big. In fact, why reserve an area at all? Just print the lines right on the screen, and remove them after a few seconds/lines.

He means the top half in that screenshot, which is displaying what looks like debug text. Edit - Beat me to it (edited by dan on 09-19-05 09:52 AM) |

"Not yet, I just started altering little things in Zelda3 and I'm searching for new themed gfx to add (such as SePH's beach or volcano he had shown a few time ago...)I already added SePH's Beach GFX into my own hack (which is actually the work of Daisuke). Works really well.... I like your tree design but the perspective is a bit off. May need a slight improvement so it looks like you are viewing it from a birdseye view. |
