Hell yeah, FFI&II Advance.
Basically the Wonderswan versions, with more items, enemies, areas and STUFF. Extra story too, including the "Soul of ..." features.

Read more here.

If this sells well, we could be seeing a remake of FFIV, which I consider to be the greatest FF game there was. Here's hoping!

Actually, if this works out Square would likely have no choice but to release the only FF game that never reached American shores... FF3.

VERY interesting though... this is how remakes should be done. And a proper MP system for FF1...

Sounds cool. It's always neat to have a game of this caliber go portable. Now THIS is a remake...

Gamespot has to be wrong here...

Final Fantasy I & II is scheduled for release in July at the retail price of 6,090 yen ($57). No American released date has been announced.

$57 AMERICAN?!? The most expensive GBA games in the States are $39, no?

You get Final Fantasy I and II, so that could explain the slightly higher price.

It looks interesting though, I'll probably end up getting them.

The train in the Soul of Chaos kind of looks like the phantom train from Final Fantasy VI.

Unless they're on separate carts, which I doubt. Unless it's one of those special edition deals... Price would likely be lower if it comes overseas.

And that train *IS* the Ghost Train.

That was a fun summon in FFVII

Anyways, that's pretty groovey, and I pray that it will bring to us the magic of FF3j and potentially FF4-6 remakes for the GBA.

This is awesome!

I'm not really a big fan of the PSX remakes, but I think I'd really like to play these games on the GBA. Mind you.. I don't have a GBA, but that's not the point.

Also, any excuse they'd have to remake and revamp the real FFIII is automatically cool. Someday, there will be an official English version of every Final Fantasy... Maybe we can have the real FFIV, too?

Or if not, I'm really just as good about ROMs.

OMG! This looks awesome. Definitely a must-have. I've never seen the wonderswan or psx versions, so it might not be as impressive to the rest of you, but I am shocked at how incredibly great this looks.

Well first we need this to be officially announced as an American release. Wouldn't be surprised if that happened at E3.

Then if it sells well, we can hopefully look forward to the only FF not released over here... And that could sell VERY well here.

Well... If this goes ahead, then it means that GBA sales will start going on an upwards sales curve again . Hope they do get released, always wanted to try 1+2, but origins sold out instantly in the UK .

Though, if all of Nintendo's bragging was true, and they do have 32bit graphics, and expansive memory, why aren't they umping up and making a FFVII port?

It'll be "about time" when FF III is actually re-released on Wonderswan/PS/GBA!! Although 1up.com is hinting something here in the last sentence. I MIGHT buy this. Or I'll just download the rom. The whole soul of rebirth and chaos thing sounds interesting.

Easy system to understand.

Black mage starts out with 50 MP (MP = Magic Points)
These points can be restored by sleeping at an in, and with magic potions. They are like hit points that only go down when you use a magic spell.

Fire magic might cost 5 MP (Magic Points). If the black mage uses fire on his turn, the fire spell subtracts 5 MP from his MP total. So now his MP will look like this 45/50

Current number of usable MP / Current maximum number of mp

Unless you were joking, and now I probably look silly trying to teach someone the MP system
