I recently played Heliattack3 on a different computer recently. And I noticed it ran alot faster wouldn't slow down after turning "Draw Backgrounds" on (refers to non stationary backgrounds.) I dicided to right click My Computer and found something out. It had a 1GHz processer while I only had a 447MHz processer. I could even play Stinkoman 20X6 without it becoming a slug while scrolling.

So is there anyway I can boost the proformence of my processer? (Please don't tell me to set quailty to low, I do that already.)

You could overclock, but don't expect 1ghz from a 447mhz CPU. I really wouldn't bother with something that old, just get a whole new system.

Roffles. Yeah, go for a new computer. But if you're >really< desperate to upgrade, go find a used processor. You should be able to /easily/ get a 900 mHz slot-type Pentium III or socket-type processor for little to nothing.

And overclocking may be dangerous even, increase too much and your'e likely to fry your processor. It's not something I do, or will do... as my computer get's hot as it. ;

And honestly, your computer is good enouh for anything but gaming.

Not worth it to overclock. You will need to install additional cooling, and frankly I don't think it's cost effective to do so.

Look at buying a new PC when you can Or somebody else's second hand machine
