That's why I use MailWasher. I can look at SPAM all I want, and nothing happens. All HTML is shown as plain text, unless it's for an image, which is replaced with [IMAGE IGNORED]. And when I'm done looking at it, I highlight the message, press the - key, and the address gets added to the blacklist.

When I'm all done blacklisting SPAM, I press F6 to process the mail, and all mesasges blacklisted are deleted and bounced back saying my e-mail address is invalid.

Jesper - I really don't mind as Sympatico blocks nearly all of my spam to begin with.

But I usually just mark the messages that do get through as Junk. Problem solved.

Similar teqnique who some people abused on the old forum. And got high ratings in that way.

BTW, once I tried to sign up to an hentai site for see if I would get spammed.

I got no spam... but I guess I was lucky. (and I did get access to those free pictures... but then that site did seem serious in a way )

I've been doing the opposite just to see how much spam I get [replying to it]

So far I haven`t seen any increase and I've gotten 50% of the emails returned as "Address does not exist" or something.

Once I got 5 Mails a day saing, I should use MSN, after two weeks, I answerd with something like that I use ICQ and so on.
Never got anything from them again.

They often use random addresses. Mine was one for a few days. They just set it as the 'from' address. I got about 400 'address not found' replies a day.

You know, *ONE* of those days one of those e-mails from a Nigerian diplomat or whatever is going to be 100% legit.
