Ok, here's the deal, I got the yahoo messenger, then when I click buttons in the IM window, the entire yahoo thing just vanishes, like it shut down. WHY? | |||

the yahoo! messenger client is buggy..there is probably something in the computer configuration that causes it to crash.. if you want to use yahoo! messeneger, use Gaim or Trillian |

I'm going to second the recommendation away from Yahoo! Messenger's official client. I don't like ANY of the Official clients much, and prefer to use an alternative where possible. neotransotaku's already mentioned Gaim and Trillian, both are very good. A very light IM client is also Miranda IM. Gaim will work on Linux and Windows too. As for me, I almost exclusively use Adium and I wish that clients on Windows were as pretty |
