they tried making bloody out of bananobytes once before but it didn't work nearly well enough to be a good substitute for real blood. EDIT: Nano! i meant Nano! XD (edited by paraplayer on 06-29-05 04:03 PM) |

I would imagine they would use it for mostly accidental deaths, and possibly people who pay money to be brought back to life if they died...makes you wonder, if theres no side affects to the dogs...but we are a little more complex then dogs, especially with our brains, what if the side affect for humans is actual zombification...that would be freaky hopefully someday, we will be able to occupy the moon...atleast then anyone who's willing can go(i know I wouldnt mind), and the others can stay on earth, that will solve things for awhile, seeing as how alot would fit on the moon to (edited by Dcahrakos on 06-29-05 05:05 PM) (edited by Dcahrakos on 06-29-05 05:05 PM) |

this thread is full of stupidity. On topic: Quite interesting... wonder how well it will work on humans, though... |

well, considering it worked pretty well without any side effects so far on the dogs, im guessing with a little tweaking it may work well on humans, although maybe the amount of time they have to revive a human without brain damage will be less...

I'm wondering how the decision making will go on whom to test it on. The article mentioned people suffering heavy blood loss, such as battlefield wounds, or stab victims, but it seems to me that if the procedure were in the testing phase, it would be difficult to set up on the front lines, and too risky to try on stab victims.

Wow. This is pretty unique, and interesting. So, they replaced the dogs' blood with a solution, and jumpstarted their hearts and such so now they have no blood? That's what I gather.

I'm quite sure we will be able to repair brain damage somewhat in the future. But even then, the patient would need rehabilitation as restored brain matter dosen't mean restored memories. :/ Well, this is one of the things that will make life expectancy to rise quite abit. Surgeries could be done more... accuratly now as they don't have to stress it through in worst case scenarios. |
