First off big N, was the GameCube a 'fiasco'? Well, I dunno... but the n64 was... Wasn't it?
Anyway, what's the point of creating a new console with a VERY SINGLE design that looks like the old (and good!) NES gray box, but MUCH smaller? Hmm, I could carry it on my pocket...

Now, the "new" GameBoy. I'd say the GBA SP has a "decent" design, but the 1st GBA model looks nicer, fits on hands much better. OKay, for a detail... the "new" shape is a... NES controller within a SMALLER screen!? Man... and I was thinking the GBA screen very small... :|

They are out of ideas, completly off. Good times of GCN pre-release... but a bit frustrating after the presentation of Luigi's Mansion... of being "simpler" than the pre-release pics. Nice, anyways... but the disc media was too small to fit the games, am I wrong? The superb DS is nothing more than a n64 "with pepper" and the double screen is... something like... you avoiding a press in the start button to look the gaming status, or whatever. Ouch.

Out of ideas? Yes, a couple of remakes for a new console. Do you remember? Super Mario 2 on GBA, and then Mario64 on DS! Please...

Could you re-release the NES? At least, I love the cartridges, its heating... MegaMan, the plastic case, the big blow in the connectors... rather than scratched mini discs.

No one here at the board is in charge of Pusblishing and Producing Nintendo games. But at anyrate they won't bring back the cartridges just becuase they cost too much to make. Well that and Disc media holds much more data. Be happy with what you get.

Well they must be doing something right. Nintendo is currently dominating the handheld market. I agree the gameboy-micro is pretty...strange. And the mini-disks are more then capable of holding a large amount of data. The DS did start off a little shaky but the touch screen is proving to be a good add-on.

why the sudden rant on Nintendo?

Well, this text was written 'for a funny discussion'. I would go post here, but I think "crazyness"... so... Don't take it as 'l4m3 sh*t', please... I'm only surprised by this "new" stuff and the 'out-of-ideas' attempt for game creations - the remakes. My guess is the Nintendo marketing - heh, it made the sales to increase. I wonder... what was the Sega error? Remember the times when Genesis had the SuperNES as 'rival' ? Or even Saturn x Nintendo64?

What are you saying? Please take the time to write out comprehensible posts, that is, posts in full sentences and decent grammar.

WHAT.

I have no idea what the hell you're saying. You change topics mid-sentence, and the new topics dont' have shit to do with anything. Oh, wait, let me get out the web translator:

Please try to explain yourself a little bit more clearly. This thread has gone very far from the actual topic. . . though, I am not really sure what that is, exactly. I'll give you the opportunity to salvage this one, but if nothing comes out of it, I'm shutting her down, alright?

edit: and re-release the NES? Nintendo is not stupid..they would loose money. No one would pay the money that it would cost for a new system, and Nintendo would need to re-manufacture every peice of hardware including cartridges, cases, lables, instruction books, boxes. . . they have made a few bad buisnes moves some may say, but they are not stupid. Think things through, you know?

The problem with Sega is that I believe they screwed up everything past the Genesis. The Sega CD was alright, but the 32X or the Saturn didn't really have the 'killer app' which is important to buying a system, especially when they cost more. Plus, with all the addons, Sega ended up mostly catering to people who already had Genesises, as new users may not be as interested in shelling out for the Genesis, the Addon, and the game.

I sort of understand this, sort of...
Everyone has their own opinion on the two screens, but not having to pause the action to get to a subscreen, or have optional componants such as maps, stats and info not cluttering up the main playing screen is a pretty sweet idea really. More time playing the games, and less screen clutter = a very cool-beans experience from the games I've played.

The only 'bad' thing about the N64 was it's cartridge medium really (I personally love cartridges, not as easily destroyed just by dropping them or laying them face down on just about any surface). I loved the N64, and the idea of having that type of quality in a handheld is pretty darned cool.
