Do you view death as a negative thing? And why.

No I don't view death as a negative thing. Because it is something that everyone must do, except valcion. But really, for every beginning there has to be an end.

Yes I view death as a negative thing. I never want to die and the only way to stay sane about it is to keep my mind on other things. It's especially difficult working in a hospital everyday.

Death actually excites me. You get to find out what's on the other side, if anything. That, and you have no more earthly worries anymore, at all. It'll rock!

Fuck you bills!

what about the affect of dieing on other people.

When someone dies people will surely miss them.

People should be so lucky as to experience sorrow over a death. It means they had the oppurtunity to care deeply about another person.

To be honest, I think it's highly positive, like Legion said, I think it'd be awesome to see what's on the other side of the spectrum!

Would I be reincarnetd, is there some misty void that souls hang out in, or what? I'd love to find that out, but not so much as to kill myself. XD

I believe that things in life tend to be defined by their opposite. Without coldness, there can be no warmth. Without darkness, there can be no light. Without death, there can be no life. I don't think of death itself as inherently positive or negative, I decide each case unto itself.

Death?

Death shouldn't be negative. We all know that sooner or later it's going to happen to all of us. Some may die naturally while others won't, but that doesn't change the fact that it will happen, and has been happening since life began.
It's a completely biological thing, too... But humans have the "wonderful" ability to miss someone. Be it a pet or another person. That's most likely what makes death negative the most. Knowing that we'll never be able to interact with the deceased again.

Death is always sad.

But in my family we have a tradition that the mourning should be the memopry of the good things the person did, and realizing that they are going to Paradise. And with our prayers they will be forgiven for any sins.

Your idea of paradise is a tiny cushioned box buried under six feet of dirt, where one slowly rots and is eaten by insects?

Not really.

It's called Heaven.

If that's yours, have fun

Oh, and my family gets cremations. Therefore we won't be eaten by insects.

You first with the proof, let's see some pictures, videos, sonographs, anything will do.

I'd like to see your proof too, because Ocam's razor is not an effective argument in this...Primarily due to the unsubstantive ideas behind heaven, it would be deemed illogical and disingenous. D=

But you're using something that is no applicable to this circumstance. Occam's Razor has no application in such endevours.

Logically speaking, you're in more of a pickle than I am. A kosher dill pickle.

Sounds more like wishful thinking to me.

Me in a pickle? I know where I'm going when I die. I've accepted that. You on the other hand have a fear of dying so you, and your kind of course, have to believe that there's something more after life. You can't accept the fact that you wont go on, that you'll cease to be.

It's better to proove that something is there, then it is to proove that it isn't there. That's especially true in this case. Why should I try to disproove something isn't there when you can't proove it's there in the first place? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You can't even provide me with one shread of evidence. Not one.

Now if you're done dancing around the issue of whether or not somethign applies or not, I welcome you to try your hardest to proove there's a heaven.

EDIT: Ok, I'm about 99% sure that Ziff deleted my post in this thread. Not positive, but it's not showing up and has me as the last reply. So here it is again:

At this point, I stopped reading. If you're not going to take this serious, then don't take it at all. Either that, or don't post while drunk and/or high.

My life wont be wasted on taking fairy tales seriously. If you want to, then that's your choice. Go ahead and waste your time.

No, this is the problem.

"Me in a pickle? I know where I'm going when I die. I've accepted that. You on the other hand have a fear of dying so you, and your kind of course, have to believe that there's something more after life. You can't accept the fact that you wont go on, that you'll cease to be. "

I'm not afraid of dying. I know that Heaven waits for me.

You need to accept the fact that the Glory of God after death is going to be there, and you'll have to confess your sins and accept the gospel of the Lord.

"It's better to proove that something is there, then it is to proove that it isn't there. That's especially true in this case. Why should I try to disproove something isn't there when you can't proove it's there in the first place? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You can't even provide me with one shread of evidence. Not one. "

Sure, I can. Literally there are hundreds of different religions. A universal movement like that has to have some backing. Additionally, proving and disproving something that is inherently illogical and irrational by its effectual nature is simply problematic. Disproving it is the only course of action. Therefore, I ask you: where is YOUR proof?

"Now if you're done dancing around the issue of whether or not somethign applies or not, I welcome you to try your hardest to proove there's a heaven."

So, now that you're done proving nothing and making yourself look like a fool by using a non-applicable concept...Will you offer ME some proof?

edit:: You're in a double large deep-fried kosher dill pickle. Bought from a Jewish-Polish deli.

Let it be noted that something has forked up the thread, I did not delete yours or Grey's posts. So do NOT accuse me of something like that.
