I did too, and you know what... I never saw any mention of this 'control panel' the manual mentioned. Total ripoff.

Control Panel? If I had a manual, I might know what you're talking about, but I only have the cart. What the real rip-off is, though, is the inability to get that one damn trophy because you fall right through it. How they managed to mess that one up and not catch it is anybody's guess. Anyway, at least you can still play that bonus round with a code.

Anyway, it works fine for me with Rice's Video Pluging 6.0.0 in Project 64. I remember having some trouble with it with a version of Jabo's video plugin. Hope that helps.

I got it to work in 1964 but it crashes sometimes and shows a "exeption in emulation thread" error.

I never played the game or even tried the ROM, but I know there's a full USF of it (ripped game soundtrack) available ... which wouldn't be possible if the game didn't work decently on any emulator

Yeah, I used a Gameshark code to get that. On this one line in the manual it says something like "only those who complete all the levels can gain access to the control panel" but no such thing ever appeared. That was like the main reason I bothered with some of the harder levels. (Getting all the power cells just turns the robot gold, oh yay. )
And how they missed it is simple. They obviously don't debug. Play any game by DMA or Rockstar (same company, they renamed) and you'll see tons of bugs that any manner of testing at all would have caught.
