| Kirby and Nakase finally shook out of their offline trances and suddenly realized what happened. Nakase didn't seem phazed, but Kirby was quite upset. Kirby: Rubbish. I'm sure there could've been something done. You could've atleast subdued him or something to give enough time to come up with a better idea. Ugh... If you want to kill someone, please don't go asking for me. I didn't do it when I was in the Navarre Thieves Guild, and I'm not gonna go killing like this. Excuse me. Kirby pushed his way through and quietly looked for his seat. Nakase stood where she was for a few moments, blinking. Nakase: .... We missed a lot of stuff for nothing  And with that, Nakase started walking back to the doors. |

| It was strange. All of these people had just killed some one in a matter of moments...it was obvious they knew how to handle themselves in battle...yet half of them hated the prospect of killing. That was the first time Vincent had heard of anyone dis'liking killing. Where he was from even children accepted killing as part of a natural healthy life. Life, Death, Honor. But since the man was dead he no longer had a charge to even out the fight...so now he just had to find Daiel...and maybe even some food (edited by Possessed on 06-30-05 07:23 AM) |

| "Well, well, well..." Schwa's voice is a bit trembly. "Yeah, that was hard to watch. Shino... uh, nice job in battle, but... Ah, hell! Never mind! Let's... get back to the wedding. ....Yeah." Schwa uneasily heads back downstairs, thinking, "Man, he's dead... Korra would lose it if he heard about a DiEn killing a DiEn..." But as Shino approaches the stairs, Ami is waiting for him. She has secretly seen the entire episode, and she is in tears. |

| Shino sees the overwhelming negative response from his actions, and begins to feel quite a bit of remorse. Perhaps it wasn't the wisest thing bringing the others here... After all, Shino was raised around death since he was born. It wasn't fair to expect them to be used to it as he was... Shino: "Everyone...I'm sorry I brought you all here. I wasn't sure if an elite or an amateur was coming, and I was unsure how much backup I would need. I see now that what we had was a bit...overkill. Innocent eyes didn't need to see this...and I apologise profusely. ...but..." Shino takes of his glasses, and walks alongside Grey as the party makes their way back to the chapel... Shino: "In response to your question, the seal IS what you think it is. It's a seal placed on the BioArmor that renders DiEn unable to engage in intercourse with each other. The seal is normally applied to the two DiEn who wish to marry each other once thier marriage is approved by the DiEn Council. " "The reason the seal is applied...is because if a DiEn has any offspring, there is approximately a 36% chance that the baby will be born into an alternate realm, throwing that realm into complete disarray, and often destroying the realm entirely. Which, of course, goes against the entire DiEn code..." Shino puts his glasses back on, and exhales slowly... Shino: "This is why the registration and sealing is so important to most DiEn. If married DiEn do not register and take the seal, they are breaking the DiEn charter...and if they break the charter, they branded as outlaws, and marked for death by every DiEn in existence." "On the other hand, there are others like Jarukoth, Ada, myself, and the other DiEns in attendance today, who feel that a grey area is nesscessary when dealing with such matters. Instead of killing the DiEn child, they can be removed from that realm and put into foster care, and so forth. They are constantly arguments between those like us and people who always want to go by the proverbial book...like Jansen back there." It's a debate that has raged on for centuries, but this is the life of a DiEn...torn between our job of preserving the balance of the realms and affirming our own hearts and ideals. This is why this ceremony was kept secret...and why Jarukoth and Ada are secretly putting thier lives on the line more than ever from this day foreward... Shino finishes his explanation just as the group reaches the door. He then opens the door for the guests and motions for them to go ahead in... Shino: "After all of you..." |

We got him in three moves! That's horrible, and furthermore it's unhonorable! It would've been more my taste to set up a 1 on 1 duel between one of us vs. him, but given your explanation of the seal, you DID have a good reason to engage this foe..." Schwa notices Ami nearby. "Snino, you may have some company..." Ami is standing in front of Shino, still in tears. "I believe you may know her. I could be mistaken, though." |

| Shino: "Yes, it is horrible. As far as honor goes...this is where we differ. Jansen clearly saw he was overwhelmed, yet he would not back down and fought us all the same. This is how deep the convictions run in most of us..." Meanwhile, he sees the weeping Ami before him. While he wasn't especially familiar with her, her identity was apparent just from what he had heard from Nimue. Shino goes up to the young girl, and hugs her warmly. "I would like Nimue to talk to Ami and Korra." Shino thinks to Schwa. "She cares for the kids quite a bit, and could talk to them much better than I could..." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, inside... Nimue: "...I now pronounce you Husband and Wife. You may kiss the bride..." The couple kiss, and the guests applaud in thier seats, most unaware of the tragedy outside. Jarukoth and Ada knew something had happened, but it didn't matter right then. They were just too enraptured in the happiness of the moment... |

Janus was actually cheering for his former foe. (thinking): 'Death... death is a part of our existence. He would have killed Jarukoth and Ada, if given half the chance. That much I know to be fact. This kind of happiness, a moment like this can not be disrupted by tragedy. No amount of cruelty would match it. I feel bad for Amiachi, but this is truly an example of the necessary actions to be taken.' |

| Kirby was already gone, unable to hear the long explanation about the seal. However, Nakase didn't move as fast. She stared at Shino with a sweatdrop and a dull look. Nakase: Wow.. | Schwa is just in time to see the finishing part via silent teleportation. "Wow. Just wow. Oh right, Ami..." He psychically scans the room, finds Nimue, and approaches quickly. "Hello Nimue... Emergency. Remember Korra and Ami? Well, Ami is in tears about... uh... something, and I think... you should calm her down, since you know her pretty well... uh, having fought her before... and saying you were allies. Yes. "Oh, I apologize if you weren't done with the wedding ceremony... I haven't been to many weddings, so I don't exactly know... Sorry, sorry..." Schwa guiltily starts to back off, thinking, "How can I tell her what went on upstairs? Aha, I know... Telepathically contacting Shino in the back of the room, he says, "Confirmation, Shino... Tell nobody of the incident upstairs?" |

| "Tell nobody who doesn't already know of the situation.", Shino thinks back to Schwa. "Odds are, Nimue has most likely felt that something has happened." Nimue reassuring looks to Schwa, putting her hand on his shoulder. Nimue: "It's okay, I'm aware of what Ami must have seen up there...expecially if Shino had anything to do with it..." ------------------------------------------------------ As Nimue searches for Ami, the rest of the wedding party has congregated in the hall outside. As for Jarukoth, he looms behind Nakase, hearing her comment. He doesn't seem very annoyed, instead leaning down beside her, whispering in her ear... Jarukoth: *whispering* "Well, not only do I want to be a good husband, I also spent half my life as an undead soldier, and the other half as a workholic-for-hire. Can you really blame me for wanting what I have coming to me?  "Jarukoth is suddenly cut off by a tap on his shoulder. Ada: "Don't you think we should get moving? What time did you schedule the reception hall for?" Jarukoth: "Don't worry, it's scheduled for 5:00." Ada: "Well, it's 6:00 now." Jarukoth: Ada motions to a clock on the wall. Sure enough, they are a bit late... Jarukoth: "Alright everyone! To the Reception Hall! On the double!" The guests begin to hurry on thier way to the hall, expessing a few concerns along the way... Rob: "Oh...so does that mean we missed the cocktail hour? Shoot..." Kari: "Forget the booze...we didn't miss the CAKE, did we?!" |

Schwa tries reading her mind and POW! Immediately a psychic energy backlash strikes him and he falls over. "Ouchouchouchouchouch!" Holding his head, he tries to get back up, but his strength is drained. "Ami... You sure have a powerful mind! I ain't trying THAT again!" |

| Nimue walks past a dazed Schwa to the weeping Ami. She places her staff down on the ground before taking a seat next to the girl, putting her arm around her. Nimue: "I'm sorry about all that you saw. You feel like talking to me about it, sweetie?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Jarukoth: "By the way...Shino...who did you meet up there?" Shino: "...Jansen Cabralitas." Jarukoth: "Well, at least he was pretty easy to dispatch, I imagine. But..." Jarukoth takes a moment to look back at the stairwell, and at Nimue cradling Ami in her arms... Jarukoth: "It seems the aftermath will be a tad more difficult to deal with..." |

| Surprisingly, Ami does ideed talk to Nimue. Her voice is half-monotone, though. "Hi Nimue... Shino Shadefoot killed Jansen Cabralitas after Schwa summoned a Battle Badger and a Bio Grizzly and an Air Elemental to fight him... He killed Jansen Cabralitas but I also saw a part of myself die." Meanwhile, Schwa is wobbling around, trying to find Korra as fast as possible but having difficulty. |

| Nakase froze up as Jarukoth whispered his insight. She let out a nervous laugh as he walked away. Kirby emerged from the room with a smile. He lunged behind Nakase and wrapped his arms around her. Kirby: Hey.. you didn't see the end of it? Nakase: No.... Kirby: Aw, that's no fair. We both should've been seeing it. Well, let's get going to the next place, okay?Kirby steps to the side and walks forward, while grabbing hold of Nakase's right hand. Kirby: C'mon! C'mon! We'll lose our chances to get the best dibs! Nakase was still a bit disturbed by the recent information she had just received. However, she was slowly regaining herself with the thought of eating some cake. Some slight blush appeared on the girl's face. Nakase: Do.. Do you think there's chocolate inside of the cake? |

| Grey: "Chocolate... and cream!" Upon hearing the mention of cake, Grey and his ragtag band of misfits power their way through the crowd, joining Kirby and Nakase on their way to the reception. "Haha, days like this are the best! Happy ceremonies, fancy dress parties, and CAKE! Who doesn't like cake?" Garro: "I don't like cake..." Kalar rubbed his hand roughly on his companion's head, rustling his hat and grinning. Kalar: "You don't count, you don't like anything." Garro straightened his hat and grinned alongside Kalar, tossing a pocketbible up and down in his hand. Garro: "Not in character, anyway." Grey: "I bet a few people are gonna get filled up tonight!" He nudges Kirby in the arm and grins in almost the same way as Kalar did, but with a flash of royal green to his eyes. "Eh, Kirb? What do you think?"
