| Callean nearly laughed out loud when he learned of the situation. Certainly, the wedding of such well-traveled individuals could not go off without a hitch, as both Ada and Jarukoth had undoubtedly amassed a number of enemies in their years. Owing to his near certainty that something of this nature would occur, Callean loosened his sash that he might seperate the folds of his robe slightly and display to his comrades a precaution he'd taken: beneath the fine garment was concealed a hauberk of light mail. Though the knight was accustomed to heavier armor, he was grateful to be wearing more than a simple cloth robe. Considering his own fighting technique, Callean balked at Garro's suggestion of a silence spell. "Use caution with that spell, Garro," he said to his newfound partner, "I've need for my voice." The paladin grinned, but was earnest in his statement. In any case, whether his own spells would be available or not, Callean did not fear battle; he trusted those present whom he was familiar with, and placed enough stock in his friends that the allies with whom he was unfamiliar could be counted upon. "Shino, friend, lead that we eager warriors may follow!" With a fittingly dramatic sweep of his wispy robe, Callean drew his mighty sword and brought it to bear. He found himself inclined to grip the handle with both hands, though he normally used only one: lacking a shield, the knight could perhaps defray his disadvantage by placing greater control and power in his sidearm. |

Maya said it kinda loudly, not really thinking anything was going on. Maya: "Reall someone mi~" Nijote had snuck up behind them and clasped her hands around Maya's mouth. Nijote: "You can at least keep quiet when its painfully obvious everyone else is!" Nijote hissed it very very quietly. She was an assassin, she knew a lot about being quiet after all. | Shino smirks a bit at Nijote. He certainly could appreciate her skill and professionalism, one assassin to another... Shino walks up the stairs, and is immediately greeted by the "target", once he is spotted. He puts on his best smile, and walks up to him... ???: "Hey! So it IS you, Shino! How are you?" Shino: "...Hey Jansen." Jansen is a rather large human with a muscular build. He has blonde hair, and a set of brown eyes that don't seem to communicate any hostility. However... Shino: "Not bad. I'm hanging in there. Jansen: "So, where are A and J? I was wondering if you could help me with the Dianoga situation on Nar Shaddaa..." Shino: "They, ah..." Jansen spots the small sign on the wall beside the tuxedo clad halfling reading "Wedding Chapel". Jansen: "Oh HO! Don't tell me the two of them are tying the knot! Wow! That's great!" Shino: "Yeah. Everyone's really happy for them." Jansen: "Hey, I'll bet! I gotta ask, though. How are the two of them dealing with the seal? That thing has to suck..." Shino's smile begins to fade a bit, and his eyes waver a bit. Shino: "They're...managing." Jansen's warm expression also begins to fade... Jansen: "....They didn't register with the Council and get the seal, did they?" Shino: "...Nope." Jansen: "Shino, they HAVE to get the DiEn Chastity Seal, otherwise there's a strong chance that..." Shino: "We are all aware of the risks involved, Jansen. Besides, I know how you think. What would you do if you were in thier position?" Jansen: "...That doesn't matter right now. They are breaking the DiEn law. I have to report them... With a flick of the wrist, three throwing knives pop down between Shino's fingers... Shino: "I can't let you do that." Jansen reaches into a small pouch on the side of his belt, and pulls out a pair of glowing brass knuckles. He slides them onto his hands, as they glow a bit more brilliantly... Jansen: "Yeah, I know. I guess that's why you brought the lot of them along too, eh?" Shino: "Can't take any chances..." Jansen: "Heh...It's funny. Of all the defenders of sex within wedlock, why am I not surprised that you're one of them?" Shino smirks a bit. A brief pause. A second later, Shino hurls his knives at Jansen. Jansen's right arm suddenly grows in size, and swats the tiny knives away. Two of them stick into the ceiling, the thrid sticks into the wall between them... Shino: "It's go time people...take him out!" Jansen takes a quick look at some of the other assorted, and dangerous, characters accompanying Shino... Jansen: *thinking* "...Shit. | "You'll pay for that remark, Jansen," Schwa says in a low voice as he approaches his foe. He knows Jansen's name because he read his mind. "You will succumb! Go, Oracle Spirit Splicing Trick!" Schwa crosses his arms across his chest and concentrates. Schwa flashes red 4 times, damaging himself each time, as 4 blue, etheral wisps of a mystical energy surround Jansen, appearing out of nowhere. They orbit Jansen's head, never changing their distance from him. That's all the attack does, but the wisps don't go away. Schwa telepathically tells Shino, "You've seen this move before. Every time he hits one of us, he's fighting a new summoned creature. And he can't hurt the wisps before they mutate. Lure him into using a strong attack." |

| "Not a problem." Shino thinks. It is indeed good to have a telepathic friend. Shino: "Come on, where is that power I always hear you talking about? Or, are you too slow to use it?" Jansen: "Right here!" Jansen's fist expands again as his knuckles crackle with electricity. He throws a massive punch at Shino, smashing the halfling in the face and sending him flying. "Shino" then vanishes into a puff of smoke... Jansen: "Kage Bunshin...of course..." The real Shino then walks out behind Jansen... Shino: "Please. Do you think I'd fight another DiEn without doing a bit of scouting first? Besides..." One of the blue wisps around Jansen begins to transform... Shino: "I'm not the only one who knows how you fight..." Jansen: "!!!" |

| "Boo-yah! You're screwed!" The first wisp begins morphing... and it's-a gonna be righteous!!! In 6 seconds, the wisp has become a gold-plated, half-mechanical badger with a razor-lined right fist crackling with electricity. It stands on two hind legs and is as tall as Jansen. Furthermore, it wears a utility belt with verious gadgets. "OhmyGod!" Schwa exclaims, forgetting to keep it down. "That's an Expert-level summoned creature! Jansen, just how much power DID you put into that attack!?" The new fighter, Battle Badger, lunges at Jansen at 50 MPH and tries a diagonal down-left hook with his right, bladed fist. It would do heavy damage if it hit directly. Immediately after attacking, Battle Badger crouches to defend against any possible counterattacks. "My God, it's very presense puts me to shame. I mean, you gotta realize that thing can actually defeat me in a 1 on 1 match," Schwa comments, charging up white ether. He's planning to summon yet another creature to the battle. |

| Grey's loving this one... He smirks a little and snaps his fingers. Instantly, Battle Badger is teleported away from Jansen, protecting it from any counters Jansen may have. He then nods to Garro, who whirls his hands around a little, and casts Silence 15' Radius. The catch was that the group was actually placed within a 30 foot wide bubble. Everything outside the bubble couldn't be heard by those inside the bubble, but everything inside the bubble was silent to everyone outside it. Someone was gonna need to be a scout for sound on the outside, that was for sure. Garro: "Alright, everyone! As long as we stay in this area, we'll be able to be as loud and rowdy as we want!" Garro then pulled out his Bible and started swirling his hands together again, ready to increase the range... |

| Jansen: "What the fu--" The Battle Badger smashes Jansen in the face, sending him flying and directly into a nearby wall, nearly shattering completely through. The clash would have clearly made quite a bit of noise, had it not been for Garro's silence spell. This was going better than planned... Jansen's arm returns to normal, as he slowly gets back up... Shino: "I'll keep watch on the outside. You guys look like you can handle this for the moment..." Meanwhile, Jansen is now tad preoccupied with his new golden assailant... Jansen: "Owwwww....what the hell IS that thing?" Jansen expands both his arms this time around, this time attempting to crush the Battle Badger within his massive palms. Meanwhile, Shino looks in from the outside of the Silence bubble... Shino: "...Typical Jansen. All the brute force in the world, none of the intelligence..." |

| A little ways down the hall a child only about 3' 5" watches the battle silently and unnoticed. For some reason none of this struck him as out of place. In fact he found it rather entertaining. Daiel: Wow, their really wooping up on that guy. Maybe I should go help or something. But as he made his was toward the odd group a strange smell caught his attention. Could it be? Yes it was...CAKE!!! With a small change of plans he redirected himself to wherever this cake might be, with only a final glance and a slight shrug to group of combatants. He doesn't even notice that he isn't dressed for a wedding, in his villager clothing, he would stick out miserably. |

| The Badger knows Jansen's attack before it happens. He perpares to dodge, but Schwa telepathically talks to it and says, "Don't dodge, take a hit and block best you can. Trust me." The Badger actually leaps into Jansen's attack, takes a hit, and darts back. Battle Badger is hit for quite a chunk of his HP, but doesn't show it. Instead it draws... what's this-- a gold pistol from it's utility belt, and begins firing rapidly at Jansen! The pistol fires fast yellow laser-type beams in a flurry at Jansen, each of which does low-medium damage per hit (but is known to make the foe flinch considerably). Meanwhile, a second wisp activates... It, too, morphs into something powerful. In 6 seconds, a ruby-plated bear stands in front of Jansen. Unlike the bedger, the bear has an almost gelatin-look to it, and it's 150% as big as Jansen while standing on it's hind legs. The Battle Badger fires for a few seconds, and when it stops the bear (Bio Grizzly) closes in, expands it's massive front limbs outward... which morph into massive saw-shaped cutters, and claps the cutter-arms around Jansen's body to crush and slice him. This attack is even more powerful than Battle Badger's first one (as in, a 1-hit KO on weaker fighters), but slow and easy to dodge. The limbs morph back after his attack, and the Bio Grizzly goes back on all fours, seemingly tired from the uber-powerful clap. "Dude! That's TWO Expert-level summons in a row! Jansen, are you like some uber-maniac high-level fighter or something? Careful, your power can be used against you! Spirit of Wind!" (echo effects) Schwa summons his Air Elemental, which appears in front of him in the form of a tornado only a foot taller than Schwa. Electricity crackles around the Elemental. Schwa is thinking about merging with it, but he gets an idea... He telepathically contacts Shino and says, "Ever merged with an Air Elemental before?" He doubts it would work, but Schwa has seen some DiEns merge with their summons before, so Shino might have SOME merging experience... |

| Down the hall where Daiel had been his older brother Vincent enter through a side door. Noticing the fight he tries to hide but somehow manages to knock over two potted plants and the wedding sign. Vincent: (thinks) Wow why didn't they hear that...wait is it all of them attacking that one guy...that isn't right. Walking down the hall toward the fighters he draws his sword and readies his helmet...On Vincent's home world he would not have been the first to notice the unfairness of this battle and the lone soldier would have had an army by now. Obviously honor didn't take high priority in this place. |

| "Can't say I have." Shino thinks back. "I don't have much experience with summon merging. That would be Ada's department." "Besides, I doubt we will need it at this point." He thinks. "Take a look at him..." Jansen is in bad shape. He is holding his chest in pain, and is even beginning to cough up blood... Jansen: *Gack* "What...the hell are you *cough*?" Shino: "Hmm...I would say it's time to put this kid out of his misery..." While Jansen is distracted by Schwa's conjurations, Shino rolls into the bubble and past Jansen, drawing his daggers. Shino: "I'm sorry, Jansen...but this is the end." "Shadefoot Backstab!" Without a hint of hesitation, Shino plunges his daggers into Jansen's back. Jansen screams in pain for a moment, a bit of blood spurting from his mouth. Shino: "It's like the old saying goes...Rogues do it from behind..." Jansen's body falls limp to the ground. He's clearly dead to all who look at his corpse. It would seem the threat has been nullified for now. Shino: "...Truth be told, I didn't think it would be that easy. Then again, he always was a bit of a knucklehead." The fighters withing the bubble can hear a rimshot noise. Shino starts to laugh. Shino: "Heheheh...get it? Cause he fights....with the...brass..." Everyone is silent. The party can hear a cricket chirp in the distance. Shino: "...Okay then. I'll clean up the corpse. Everyone else can go back to the wedding, I guess..." |

Luke: "We could've just stunned him, anything, you didn't have to kill him!" Maya and Luke turned around and left the room. Nijote: "I have to agree... we all know that we over powered him, we could've stopped him so easily, even erased his mind, drugged him, anything... You didn't have to resort to killing." Nijote checked Jansen's body to see if there was a way she could bring him back, she sighed and got up. Nijote: "He's to damaged, I can't do anything for him." |

Jansen knows how to backup his memory and thoughts into his BioArmor, and recover them eventually if wiped. That ability is mostly reserved for long term wiping, but he would eventually gain his thoughts back. So, as sad as it is to say, death was the only option this time..." Shino taps his foot, and opens a portal under the corpse, which drags it in. Once the corpse has been completely consumed by the portal, it closes, taking all biological evidence with it. Shino: "Besides, he's in a better place now...Call it insurance for life." "Come to think of it, how long have we been away from the ceremony?" |

| Grey: "I'd say about 15 minutes. We've got to hurry if we want to catch the important part." Grey recalls Shino holding a ring before... "Especially you, Mr. Shino. I doubt you'll want to miss this one." Garro: "As for the death... I agree that killing may have been a bit too extreme..." Garro takes out his bible and begins reading the rites of the deceased. Grey nods his head in assent as Garro kneels to the spot where Shino opened the portal and continues chanting. Grey: "But it was necessary. He'd have killed us all if he got the chance, I'm sure. But Shino, before we return to the ceremony, exactly who was that? And the seal... Is it what I think it is?" |
