I had my last exam today, boy it sure sucked big time, small room, lots of people, really warm, sweaty smell, Lion King music from the school next to us.

BUT NOW IT'S VACATION!!! YAY

Speaking about the end of the school year, I managed to do something completely idiotic yet again.

Today was the official last day of school, the report cards were given to the students. Of course, I somehow managed to miss the entire thing. I'm so proud of myself yet again.
Never have I missed a class in the entire year, but now I miss the last day!? Argh. Woe is me.

Our report cards are mailed out way after school ends. That way they can check if you have overdue library book fines.. if you do, you won't get your report card.
I got mine yesterday. Four B's and an A. I blew off this huge History final too, where you had to do ten hours of community service. Screw that. I ended up with a B-.

Actually, when I was in high school we were required to do X hours of community service (60?) but over the five years of the IB program.

I was done mine the summer after Grade 9. :\ Didn't want to bother with it after that, to be honest.

the spirit of community service is lost in HS...every college wants you to do it but most of the activities you do don't have a true community impact... i did only 24 hours of community service each year but I didn't feel better about it...

Well our project he gave a list of things we should do to help our community and wanted us to go all at it. Like call people up and make presentations at all. Very few people actually did that. Most everyone was all I PICKED UP TRASH IT WAS GROSS.
I didn't blow it off, I wrote a report on things other people could do to help out, just so I wouldn't get a 0. If I failed that class I'd have to do it again or no graduation. I still can't believe I got a B-.
We shouldn't HAVE to help anyone. That's what this country is all about. >8(

Oh right... THAT project. :\ AKA the one that I couldn't even see a low-level university course give out, much less a high school one.

Seniors have to do a senior project here..which includes community service. Too bad more than half or almost everyone lied about doing it.

I was in this program for Health Tech and a certain amount of hours had to be put into it every year but umm..yeah I kind of just said I did it but one year I did actually do it but my dad added extra hours

The B- is a good grade, considering she BSed that project completely. She was expecting a C, so she's happy with he B-. It's a good thing.

Well, there's not THAT much difference between C and B-. She must have REALLY done the best BS job in her school to be able to get through the project without even doing what the project said to do.

(I did that once actually... Gym class in college. Faked an exercise plan and proof of doing said plan. XD)

Community service? Are you, like, in some sort of prison or something?

The closes thing to that we have some sort of "choosable classes", however, this just means you have to go to an extra class or do something outside school (like boyscouts, the fire department, football club...), but if you fail you fail class.

It's funny to compare school systems around the world.

God, I have no idea. We had to do a presentation in front of the class, and I was the only one who didn't do it. Of course the teacher had to announce it. ASHLEY YOU'RE NOT PRESENTING HUH?! And everyone turns around. Losers. >8(
Anyway, I made this the night before. Not only did I intentionally do a semester long project completely wrong, I did it the night before. I googled some crap, wrote it down, hit spell check pretty fast, and tried to end the night. I thought it was all wrapped up.
BUT NO 8D
My printer died. Poof. I had to HAND WRITE this crap. It was horrible. The only benefit was that it made my report thicker than usual. Then I made like a works cited page, and then I made a cover page with TWO HANDS HOLDING. And I made sure it was interracial because it's the only way we can care loller.
There are many ways to contribute to society right here in Sonoma County. When many think of helping a worthy cause, they think of donating money. Giving away money discourages a lot of people, and it

tone doesn't carry well over the internet

you've never gotten a C+ or less before right? i'm sure you'll learn from this experience--one thing I wonder is how could you not know there was a presentation... i'm sure it was mentioned somewhere. oh well--what's done is done; on to senior year!

Oh wrong wrong wrong. I'm a bad student, this is my best year by far. Worst grade I got was nearly failing a class called "Life Skills".
I did know there was a presentation. I knew exactly how it was supposed to be. I couldn't present because I didn't actually do community service.

You should have looked at the teacher wide-eyed and said something like "...we were supposed to present this?" despite the fact she probably reminded you guys 20 times during the term.

Ziff's exams were:

1 - Minimum 6 page front back single space essay on Women's Rights in Literature. Ziff wrote 12 pages on foolscap.

2 - 80 multiple choice questions for History exam. Plus one 5 paragraph essay on either Canadian economic ascendancy or Aboriginal culture problems.

3 - 20 page written exam for Law. 20 FUCKING PAGES IN 1 1/2 HOURS!

Ziff's grades going out were:

96 History
78 Law
88 History 2
32 Data Management
75 Classical Civilizations (Ancient Greek+Latin)
78 English
78 English Lit

Since my Data Management mark was declared erroneous and unecessary, Ziff exits high school with an A average. Ziff has received approx. 3000 in bursaries and scholarships for university.

It should also be mentioned that I was voted most likely to kill self. Most likely to kill someone else. Most likely to live alone. Most likely to rule the world. And most likely to be INfamous. I was also declared "most lonely at prom". But "biggest surprise in the looks category at prom". My name was misspelled over 8 times in the year book. ZWS, my initials, were constantly messed up. ZQS ZOS BVG were some of the examples of initials attached to my photo for what my name stood for. Also, they took out my quote "I wish I didn't live those four years, but boy am I glad I ignored them". I was also recommended to over 10 universities by my Classics and History teachers for being a "student of exceptional knowledge and endless ability...despite having a few problems" (EXACT WORDS ).

Overall, on a scale of 10, I'm giving myself a 25 when compared to all of you worthless buffoons...Mostly because I was voted most likely to kill myself.
