Not sure if it's a bug, but Mario slides a little if you come out of a horizontal pipe and press the direction Mario isn't facing. | |||

if you leave yoshi outside of the pipe and take the spring board through, his head will disappear (I tried this on a horizontal pipe) but when you come out of the pipe, it will come back edit: why can't I overlap the pipes? edit2: it also disappears on vertical pipes (edited by smwedit on 06-24-05 09:14 AM) (edited by smwedit on 06-24-05 10:10 PM) (edited by smwedit on 06-24-05 10:10 PM) |

if you put a shell in yoshi's mouth, spit it straight into the side of a vertical pipe and go up the pipe, yoshi will be stuck inside the pipe, but mario will come out, if you go back down, you will get yoshi back. Edit: you can probably find the code for that when you pass the level, sprites touch you but they don't hurt you. when you are walking when you passed the level, if there are sprites, they just "stick" to you and walk back and forth. btw, if you need GFX for the corners, you can "steal" it out of my hack, level 23. my site is in my profile, and the hack is unlocked. There's still a problem with getting time up while inside a pipe. I entered Yoshi's house. You could move Mario around like normal, but his animations were frozen. I also tried entering Yoshi's Island 2 where Mario's control was locked. | |||

Mario gets stuck in the crossing when I try to cross pipes... BTW, I managed to carry the key and the springboard at the same time. O.o Sadly, I haven't been able to reproduce it... Also, I couldn't shoot Fireballs while in a pipe. |

It is possible to carry multiple items at one time normally. It has nothing to do with the pipes. Just grab one item, and set it down. Then grab another item, go one pixel to the left or right of the first item, and drop the item being held. Then just jump overtop of the items (preferably have mario's sides line up with the objects sides), and hold in the pick up button. Mario should pick up both items. You can also set yoshi overtop of the items, and be holding 2 items while on Yoshi. Which reminds me: If you are carring an item while on yoshi, the item will be outside the pipe. I would highly recommend that you make all sprites in the pipes become invisible. It would solve many problems people seem to have. I think I am the only person who can't seem to: 1. drop items in the pipe 2. use Yoshi's tongue in the pipe 3. reproduce almost all the glitches mentioned here. Anyway, good job with all this stuff. I would love to see cornors and diagonal pipes. And pipes that can cross each other would be nice. (edited by Keikonium on 06-24-05 08:53 PM) |

This is the last demo that I'll put out until I have the corners done. Many bugs have been fixed, entering the pipes is more smooth, and there is support for crossovers. I've completely changed the reset tiles. Although I tested them, I'm sure you guys can find some new bugs. I've tried jumping off of yoshi and letting go of items while in the pipes and couldn't reproduce those problems with this version. If some of you still manage to do that, give me some details about how/where it happened. One thing I still haven't gotten around to fixing was being able to enter a pipe facing the wrong direction, but that will be taken care of eventually. demo 3 - temporarily down (edited by mikeyk on 06-24-05 04:10 PM) |

pipes demo 3 I've reuploaded the 3rd patch. I found a bunch of problems right after I originally made it, but they've now been taken care of. Smallhacker: the time up bug should definitely be fixed. I had a branch with the wrong offset that caused the problem in demo 2 Pikachu025: the problem of falling through the pipe should be fixed these are a few issues that i haven't fixed yet but still plan on... -a row of pixels from yoshi's feet stick out the bottom of horizontal pipes if mario is big -part of yoshi's mouth is visible in vertical pipes if he is carrying something -yoshi can enter pipes backwards -any problems you guys find |

If you enter a horizontal pipe with winged yoshi he start going up and when you get out at the other side you cant move.(sometimes you get control and sometimes you dont) | |||

yoshi's head still disappears if I take a springboard through a pipe in demo 3 edit: and the error for being able to make the pipe sound by going on top of a vertical pipe and hitting A+down arrow with yoshi is worse, instead it first makes that sound, then you lose control and hop on and off yoshi continuously. yoshi's head will always disappear with the springboard cuz that's the way it is in the original game. I'll try and fix the problem with hitting A and down, and I never thought about winged yoshi, so i'll fix those up too. Also, I will be rewriting the reset tiles again since I've thought of a much better way that will work much better and allow an easy way to do one way pipes (edited by mikeyk on 06-25-05 03:28 PM) |

try to make it so anything that goes in the pipe becomes invisible (yoshi stays visible outside the pipe, but is invisible on the inside, that will fix multiple errors |
