| erm ive been screwing around with my g/f's computer O_o. Because recently when she booted up and loaded windows it would pop up and say file fsdj90.exe not found and you can browse to find it but it doesnt exist. and there are about 10files like this and it repeats 2-3 times which is mainly just annoying but it sounds like some kind of virus being the files dont exist and the names of the files are no more than random alphanumeric. And once youve gone through them all 2-3times it stops and everything else on the system runs normally. any ideas?and ive tryed turning them off in msconfig start opts. but when i restart it it just redoes them all | |||

| Start in safe mode Delete the files Delete ALL registry entries in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\-Run (if it exists) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run- (if it exists) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\-Run (if it exists) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run- (if it exists) Granted, AIM or Kazaa or any startup apps won't start with Windows anymore, but you can fix this by rechecking the option to do so within the apps themselves. |
