I think it's normally in May. I'm trying to find some info on it, but I'm not getting much right now. Ah, there we go... The Expo is from May 12-14 and the conference is fom May 11-13. March 26, 2004 - Today, Bandai revealed its entire 2004 lineup to IGN. While there weren't many surprises, we did learn a few things. Bandai's working a brand new, previously unannounced Gundam game. IGN also received its first look at the anticipated (at least for fans) Cowboy Bebop. Below, you'll find a complete list of Bandai's 2004 booth showings and links to details about each title. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cowboy Bebop The game Cowboy Bebop is based on the ever popular anime series of the same name. This action adventure title will allow you to control Jet, Spike, or Faye on a bounty hunting adventure that promises to solve some of the show's mysteries. Check out our Pre-E3 2004: Cowboy Bebop story for more details and the first trailer. (PlayStation 2 -- October 2004) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Digimon Racing Digimon Racing is a character kart racer featuring Bandai's characters hopping aboard mini-vehicles and racing around tracks to see who the best Digimon racer is in the Digiworld. (Game Boy Advance -- Summer 2004) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Digimon Rumble Arena 2 Rumble Arena 2 is a sequel to Bandai's Super Smash Bros.-styled fighting game, Digimon Rumble Arena, on the PlayStation. It features more than 40 different monsters, plenty of multiplayer modes, secret characters, and personalities from all four seasons of the television show. Check out the Pre-E3 2004: Digimon Rumble Arena 2 story for more details and a horde of screenshots. (GameCube, Xbox -- June 2004) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Digimon World 4 Digimon World 4 is the fourth in a series of Pokemon meets virtual pet growing games. This time around, an evil force has cut off all access to the Real World. It's up to you to uncover the source of the attack and investigate a mysterious new world that has appeared. For more details on this action RPG, check out the Pre-E3 2004: Digimon World 4 story. (GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox -- August 2004) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Galactic Wrestling Developed by the wrestling game experts at Aki, Galactic Wrestling has more than 40 different wrestlers, six different gaming modes (including tag team, battle royale, 5 vs. 5 group, etc), seven different arenas, and four-player simultaneous action via the multi-tap. Still no word yet on whether or not this is a port of last year's GameCube title or if it's an all-new game made especially for the PlayStation 2. (PlayStation 2 -- July 2004) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gundam: Battle Assault 3 Gundam: Battle Assault 3 is the only unannounced title that Bandai has revealed in its E3 lineup. This is a continuation of the Battle Assault games on the PlayStation and is the first Gundam fighting game to appear on the PlayStation 2. While details are still sparse, there will be up to 25 different mobile suits and five different gameplay modes to choose from. More details and tons of screenshots and artwork can be found in the Pre-E3 2004: Gundam: Battle Assault 3 story. (Game Boy Advance, PlayStation 2 -- Fall 2004) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask Following the events of A Feudal Fairy Tale rather closely, the Secret of the Cursed Mask will sport more than 20 minutes of anime footage made specifically for the videogame (in addition to featuring characters made especialCheck out our Pre-E3 2004: Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask for more details and screenshots. (PlayStation 2 -- July 2004) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ribbit King A new way to play golf (called "frolf"), Ribbit King has an unusual premise: launch a frog into the air and get him in the hole under par. Not as sadistic as it sounds, this frolf simulator will feature 10 different characters (including a duck and a one-eyed palm tree monster), 20 varied levels, and 5 diverse planets. (GameCube, Playstation 2 -- May 2004) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SD Gundam Force Bandai's action beat-em up Superior Defender Gundam Force will allow gamers to play as Captain Gundam, Zero the Winged Knight, and Musha Bakunetsumaru as they battle their way through three different worlds. For more details and character art, check out Pre-E3 2004: SD Gundam Force. (Game Boy Advance, PlayStation 2 -- September 2004) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's Bandai's official lineup for E3 2004. However, we've been told that Bandai will also unveil another new title based upon a popular franchise at the show. Bandai's known for anime licenses...speculate away! ~~ The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has today announced details of the conference program for this year's E3. The event is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and will feature sessions presented by prominent industry leaders such as EyeToy creator Richard Marks of SCEA, Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner, and EALA Studio art director Mark Lasoff. The conference and workshop program at this year's E3 will include no fewer than 37 sessions featuring more than 125 industry experts. Topics up for discussion this year include development opportunities and challenges ahead, the new rules of business, and the growing importance of online, mobile, and handheld games. "The E3Expo 2004 show floor will offer the best place in the world to 'See What's Next' for interactive entertainment, while the E3Expo conference and workshop programs offer the premier opportunity to learn what's next for this ever-evolving business," said Douglas Lowenstein, president of the ESA. "E3Expo's unique educational program provides in-depth, hands-on educational experience led by true industry experts that can help professionals find forums to grow their knowledge, build their networks, and advance their careers to the next level." ~~ Larger list. ~~ |

E3 is next month... for me, the greatest event in my life all year. While we're speaking of E3, each year, traditionally, I post something called an "E3 Report" here at Acmlm's. (Minus last year, due to technical difficulties... I might still post it though, about a YEAR late.) Since I go to E3 every year, I take lots of pictures and videos of not only the games, but all of the cool stuff going on there. So, look forward to my 2004 E3 Report some time after May 14th. http://www.angelfire.com/hi4/kirbysrareroms/nintendoshow.MPG ^ Anyone interested in the stuff that goes on at E3, download this movie I took, above! It's kind of interesting-- Charles Martinet (the voice of Super Mario ) introduces the "Nintendo Girls". |

It depends whether Mario 128 comes out for the GCN or as a launch title for Nintendo's next-gen system. Nintendo hasn't released much info about it because they don't want any ideas to be stolen. |

DKC2's coming out in Europe before North America I think. No idea what the logic is there. I doubt Nintendo will announce the GBA2, they're too busy with the DS and new GBA games. But I'm sure the Wireless Adaptor will be there. |

DKC2 get's released in Europe before US? Well there isn't anything wierd with that... The last DKC port sucked right? Originally posted by ColleenHehe, the main reason why i'm going to buy Fire red... Personally i'm looking forward to the "Nintendo DS handheld system" "The Legend of Zelda: The Four Swords (Cube)" (yes i'm looking forward to that title, maybe becuse I do have two GBA's. ) "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker 2 (Cube)" and Maxis The sims 2. yeah, the last DKC port made me quite sad, as I loved the first one alot. And probably the logic behind a EU release first is because Rare is British? Eh, my guess is as good as yours. | |||

Originally posted by MajinBlueDragon Rare usually releases games here first. Of course, with Microsoft owning them now that less of a thing now, but... Obviously in some cases it's still so. By the way, to those who blame Nintendo for the poor port of DKC... Rare did it. Not Nintendo. Rare ported it. They're the ones who screwed up their own game. ~.~ I'm most looking forward to seeing Metroid Prime 2 (I adore Metroid with a passion, and the promo movie they released awhile back was just awesome), along with any new Mario games. I still haven't finished Wind Waker yet, so that's the only real reason why I'm not going nuts about WW2 yet. Four Swords looks nice, though. |

The most effective way to get in is to have a pass. Some expos have had a day where the public could attend, but not anymore. |
