OK. My computer has stand by and hibernate turned off for power purposes. When ZSNES is on and I hit escape to talk on the phone or something, after 5 or 10 minutes it will go into stand by. Anyone know why this might be?

I think I had this problem with my old computer... try running it as a window and see what happens.

It shouldn't at all though if you have the power saving shut off. Might need to verify that it is off (Right-click, Properties, Screen Savers tab, Power... Button, make sure System Standby is set to Never).

If this was already correct...then I wouldn't know how or why ZSNES would interfere with power-saving...that'd be a new error to me. [Util's method might work...]

Alternatively power management can be disabled in the BIOS right after startup of the computer ...
Try enble the "High Priority Mode" in the options menu, so maybe the computer reserves more free resources from other less-consumptive background tasks to give them to ZSNES when running.

Wouldn't recommend enabling 'High Priority Mode' in anything like XP or 2K though...as it has a tendency to do more harm than hurt.
