I need help with my overworld in my ROM. I can't get the ROM to load for some reason and the only thing I have edited is the overworld. I can send the file via email or I can try and find some site that I can upload it to. If some one can help that would be great!

What happens when you try to load it? Does it give you an error? I need to know what happens to help you.

are you sure you were using a Super Mario World ROM? :o? hehe. What map editor were you using? Jonwil's or Lunar Magic? not like I can explain the problem either way... but it -might- make a difference.

The problem is that, for whatever reason, you've expanded your ROM to a 48 Mbit ExLoROM. Zsnes doesn't currently support it, though Snes9x does.

And as ||bass said, please don't distribute ROMs on the board. Learn how to create IPS patches and distribute those instead (though in this case, that'd almost be as bad since pretty much the entire ROM would of been in the patch, but anyway...)

When you convert SMW to ExLoROM or ExHiROM, pretty much all the data is moved. The entire ROM can end up contained in the IPS patch, and depending on how modified the original game was there's even a pretty good chance you could apply the patch to any old file 8MB or less to get a playable ROM (as would be the case in this instance).

Which is why the DWTLC patch requires using Lunar Expand first, as it avoids the problem.

I started off with the Original SMW ROM and it wouldn't expand like I had to expand SDW: TLC so I tried the other ones thats why I expanded it how I did. I know only the overworld is changed so I am going to completely redo my ROM.

BTW the reason I up loaded the ROM and not the IPS patch is because I uploaded the wrong file. I meant to upload the IPS but as you said the only thing changed is the overworld. Thanks.

BTW FuSoYa Lunar Magic is amazing!! Great Job! Same goes for Super Demo World. Will you ever release SDW:TLC so that people can edit in in Lunar Magic? Probably not but thought I might ask.

Expand one of your spare unchanged SMW ROMs to the same size as your hack, then create the patch. That should work.

Nah, FuSo will never release an unlocked Demo World... It would allow you to find several secrets, or even full levels or the whole game.

There's absolutely no need to expand your ROM manually; LM will do it automatically if necessary, up to 4MB (I think). I really can't imagine anyone exceeding that limit...not even DW:TLC did (Fu expanded the ROM for some other reason).
