| I'm just curious, only having a copy of Acmlmboard 1.8a will there ever be another release of anything new? I've heard 1.9 might be released, then no since Acmlm wants to wait and go ahead for 2.0, then no, bla ... Just curious.  |

The next version I was planning to release was the updated 1.9 ... pretty much the version we have here now  But I'd still have to do more changes all around to make sure everything is fine, and also so it works as a general AcmlmBoard and not just "Acmlm's Board"  |

Well I've been successful so far in "mimicing 1.9" I guess you could say, coding with others a 1.9 style memberlist, ranks, and simple things like that. That should make do until an official release. |

| Not that simple. Several database tables have new formats (we store post signatures, post text and post data in separate tables for one) and we'd need to craft migration scripts so people could upgrade. | |||

| Actually, anyone who is a decent coder can write migration scripts. Someone who has a board running 1.8a and wants to upgrade might be the most motivated person for the job. For new installations, the lack of migration scripts is not a problem. |

| I never heard of anything about a Battle Hack for 1.9 or 2.0 whatever, but like Tuvai said sounds doupful. Oh well I'm just more concerned about having a more secured board. |

I had no "migration" script from 1.8a to 1.9 I simply looked at the new database structure looked at the old database structure and figured it out.... and alot of people, would probably just use a public 1.9 release, as an excuse to just restart their board.... |

If that's the fact, I'd rather attempt to convert it myself or whatnot. Only if 1.9 is significently greater than 1.8 would I restart my board over it for an upgrade. |

| 1.92 is definitely hardcore far superior to 1.8a Acmlm would be doing the community a large favor to say the least, by publically releasing 1.92 and the SQL Strucutre, with no Upgrade / Migration scripts |
