| Insulting staff was the wrong reason to ban, however, he deserved a ban for flaming Yiffy Kitten. And how exactly would you expect to get away with insulting someone AT THE BOARD THEY MODERATE, next to every single post you make? I think he did it on purpose to get banned, and got what he wanted. |

Yet it says Insulting Staff, which implies that a staff member gets special treatment over a regular user. I know it says not to expect the board to be a Utopia, but it seems werid that a staff member should get special "Anti-insult" protection.. I'm sure the staff's definition of "being an ass" is much harsher when it's directed at them.. It's human nature  EDIT: Ok, I read This thread, which explained the situation, and I see that I was really downplaying Kon-Tiki's flaming... I guess he did deserve the ban. | Staff is staff because of special treatment... that's kinda the point. heck, I was banned for being unliked by the staff for awhile It was originally a perma-ban, but we worked out a deal. Anyway, now I'm back from outer space. I just walked in to see you here with that sad look upon your face. and um... Yiffy Kitten is cool... so is ||bass and Acmlm... and maybe Jesper (time will tell for sure)... and everyone loves Anya and Rydain... so yeah, they should get special treatment 'cause they make the rules and they deal with people like knuck who say "omg teh board is disappeared" too many times. | Why can staff insult users? Hmm, I dunno, I guess staff has more right, because without them there wouldn't be no board or the board would be crap, so they want respect for their hard work to make this board have the fun posting experience that it's known for. |
