Hey! I made a cool game! It's called "I poisoned half the food, so if you eat you might die!" Have a taco.

For the original Smash Bros: Jigglypuff. Jiggly is effing awesome in this game. Let no one say the jiggles does not kick ass.

For Melee: Marth. He's got awesome speed. He's a great wavedasher. His power is hardcore. He juggles like mad. Who needs projectiles? Not me.

Another character I like to use, especially in the one event where you have to take out all those Mr. GnW's is Donkey Kong. Spamming his ground slap = positive results.

Ladies and gents, Pichu.

Why? Because I can. He's so weak, that just saying you're capable of beating people with him shows enough.

Other than that, I can be seen using Marth, Kid Link, Kirby, and on occasion I'll be adventurous and use Luigi. He was Kung Fu fighting.

I do not, however, wavedash. I don't know how to, and I don't care because I'm still able to beat Phil (though he got me last time because I actually haven't picked up the game in four months).

So far, I've been able to beat 3 level 9 computers all on a team, no team attacks (cheap bastards) completely randomized, three times in a row with:

Roy, Link (adult), Fox, Kirby, Zelda/Shiek.

But, in PvP, my cousin usually kicked my ass cause he would stay back and be a vulture, I remember when he got beaten quite a few time because I actually started going after him.

Anyways, I mainly use Fox now, love the speed and the combo attacks. I just can't wait till the next version though, because new characters, means I'll have to adjust playing style and learn to be better. Its been a while though, so if any of you played me, you would probably win easily. (my disc broke like 2 years ago )

For me my best was always Capt. Falcon
hes fast, and even though the falcon punch is slow,
if you time it right you can instantly knock out anyone..
Then it would be Samus and Marth second
Mewtwo in third
and luigi in forth

So yeah, I went to a party one time and played as Roy, Falco, Adult Link, and Luigi against all of my friends, who are pretty good at Melee.

As it turns out, I never got below three lives in a single match, starting from a 5-stock. I can't wait for the games to come online so I can own you all in the face. I've played Melee way too much, cuz I can cause so much damage with combos from each character that it's silly. I just can't wait to see what new characters will be in Smash Bros Online, if there are any.

If they do add in some characters, I hope they add in Metaknight. He needs to be in a SSB game. He would be so cool to play...

As for the online game, they will have to make sure that they make every character equal in every way possible. If they increase the speed, they lower power, stuff like that.

I know that is what they tried to do in SSBM, but they still had some characters stronger than the rest...

I guess there is no such thing as a perfectly equal multiplayer game...

My best characters in the first Smash game were: Link & Samus (Link's regular moves and Samus's special moves ruled. Both had a grapple beam/hook grab & throw which makes them instant winners too!)

In Melee, they are: Bowser & Pichu (Bowser has the best defense in the game, Pichu has the best offense in the game. Bowser gets KOed at 110% and over, Pichu KO people at 40% and below)

(I will not list the reasons and the actual statistics showing why Pichu is not underpowered here. There is a refreshing lack of Tiers theories in this thread and I want to keep it that way)

Well, that's what I usually hear when playing against CPU/friends.

My battle style with Mr. Game & Watch is evade and attack at a rhythm. I can do that because of his beeps when landing on surfaces and stuff. When I'm Mr. Game & Watch, watch out!

Always has been and always will be Pikachu for me. He's kind of weak in his attacks, but his speed and quickness of attacking lets you get in many attacks while dodging at the same time, plus his Thunder attack lets you clear out a group while taking out above would-be attackers at the same time.

And of course, his quadruple jump makes recovering from crazy knock aways or lets you recover in spots normally not reachable by everyone else (like recovering on the bottom side of the Hyrule level after falling from the top).

My first room mate would always pul that move and I hated him for it. I would be like "Ha! I win!" and he would zap his way back up, for the 12th time in a row.

I actually concern myself more with having fun than winning. To that end, it makes me happy to play as Mr. Game & Watch and comment on my flipping bacon at you in a menacing fashion, to say nothing of ringing the bell when I make a KO.

I find the game most enjoyable when the match is mostly even, many of my most memorable matches are the "almost won/lost" matches after all. And to be honest, I hadn't got beaten by anyone really bad mostly people who is even. And i'm not a hardcore player. :/

I hadn't played SSBM for awhile either, I need to train again. XD

When playing in general, I like to randomize my character. It's more fun and unpredictable that way, most people I play with tend to do the same. In serious competition, however, I stick religiously to using Marth. Anyone who professes that he and Roy are identical is touting sacrilege! I like Marth because he's the Link of SSBM, as odd as that is. In the original SSB, Link was the speedy, lightweight swordsman. The bow and boomerang were added buffs. In SSBM, Link controls like a heavyweight, but doesn't have the raw power to back it up. He falls like a rock in water. I was disapointed with their retooling of my favorite elfish teen, but was delighted at the all-melee, arcing-path swordsman Marth. His counter attack and combinations add a nice element as well. And I thought the reference in his "Dolphin Slash" move was nice.

What? Link's Spin Attack in SSB was TERRIBLE. He had absolutely crappy jumping power compared to what it is in Melee. Plus, Link can also use the hookshot to attach on to ledges, if you didn't know. Same with Samus' Grapple Beam. Speaking of Samus, I hope they retool her in Smash Bros online so that she has more attacks that relate to equipment from the Prime games. I'd love to fire an Ice Beam or a Wave Beam at somebody.

Also, has anyone ever looked at that special movie that's located under Options or something like that? The one that has all the characters doing really nifty stuff? I've never been able to do the one thing where you do a midair dodge and then grab an item right out of the air. Has anybody here been able to do that with a lot of consistency, and can you pull off the types of combos and crazy stuff that they show there?
